Explosion Silverburst Black/Yellow Dime Slime

2 powerful EMG humbuckers: the EMG-81 in the bridge position provides higher output for overdriven, screaming leads with tons of sustain, and the EMG-85 in the neck position gives a beefy low end and fatter top, great for rhythm and blues.

The Dean Razorback V 255 electric guitar features a mahogany neck and body and a rosewood fretboard. The V-shape neck has a strong, set joint and a 1-5/8" nut. Grover tuners and a locking tremolo keep you in perfect tune while you divebomb the night away. 24 fast frets facilitate wicked, shredding solos and lightning quick chord changes. 3-way switching, volume and tone control keep things simple, yet tonally flexible, and with tons of presence.

Being a Dean guitar, the Razorback V 255 looks as good as it sounds. Dangerous-looking edges are highlighted by color-contrast bevels on the body and outlines on the famous Dean headstock. V inlays with Dime's razorblade at the twelfth fret plus all black hardware make this guitar wickedly stunning.

Dimebag Darrell Abbott's return to Dean Guitars was one of the many things cut far too short by his death near the end of 2004, but his many drawings and ideas have kept the guitar makers at Dean inspired. These Razorback V 255s were some of Darrell's final designs, and we're sure they will inspire you, too!

ive had the exposion version of this guitar for about a year i havnt had a single problem with it. it takes a little getting used to the shape of the neck. Mine has the EMG pickup set in it and i love them, if your a sloppy player then i wouldnt recommend the EMG'S cause they pickup everything you do. very well blanced and has a fast neck! recommend this guitar to anyone from beginner to professionals. plus its a DIME guitar and i love his playing

So, I had been looking for both a new amp, and a new guitar. My buddy had convinced me I needed a tube amp, which I agree'd, except for the price, then I found the Peavey Valveking 112 combo. Cheap, for a tube amp, and I have always prefered Peavey. So that came in the mail a week later, plugged in my Epi-SG 1966 reissue, sounded better than before, went and got my BC Rich Perfect 10 Bich, played for a while, sounded great, but I still needed a little more. Both guitars have stock pickups, and have use for their own styles, but I wanted something Metal. I knew I wanted EMG 81/85's, for the reputation and sound. I had been looking at the Epiphone SG Prophecy, since I am an Epi-fan for the price they're awesome guitars, after about a week of deciding, I went with this, the same day the price dropped on the silverburst, so I ordered without hesitation. When it showed up, I didn't really know what to expect... very balanced. Good custom fit case. The headstock at first was large to say the least, but I've gotten over that. Stays in tune VERY well, and with a tube amp just use the fine tuning pegs while your amp is warming up. It is however, a pain to drop the tuning to drop D/C due to the locking system at the top. When I first plugged it in, I was amazed at the distortion (Lead channel built into the amp, haven't had a need to plug in any of my pedals since I got it), but wasn't too impressed with the clean sound. After a few days, I hit the magical spot and it sounds just as good as any of my other guitars do clean, if not better. I play alot of Ska music, and this guitar sounds awesome for it. The Pick up selector does wonders, for heavy palm muting, go with the neck, solo's with both, or the bridge depending on what you want, and everything else both or neck. Well worth the money, though I'm worried about putting my Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings on it, from what I've heard they aren't so great with floating bridges.

I had the Black and Yellow Dean Razorback V 255 Electric Guitar for about a week when the volume pot went out.

I sent it back for a refund.

I was worried about buying a guitar online without getting to play it first, but after getting this thing and pluging it in, my worries disapeared very quickly. This thing is a beast. I have a peavy vyper75 that I wasnt to sure about untill I played this guitar through it. Man those emg picks are freakin awsome. I get a massive cruch and can get a really nice clean sound also. (Thanks to this guitar) the neck is really comfortable and the tremolo was a nice supprise. I tried to knock this thing out of tune with the tremolo and it just kept going back in tune. Not what I was expecting from a "licensed floyd rose". The neck is fast, the paint is beautiful, the pickups are the best I've ever used and the balance of the guitar is really nice for a v style body. The headstock is pretty big, but I'm sure that was for balance purposes. The grover tuners are so smooth and precise that it makes you want to keep changing the tuning, just to feel the smoothness of these things. If your looking for a metal guitar, this is the last one you need to look at...buy it, and you wont regret it. You'll only wonder how you went so long without it.

I bought this guitar a little over a month ago. In that time, I have changed strings once every week. And once I tune it, it will stay that way until I change it... The lic Rose is ten times better than everybody says it is. The only thing I didn't like about the Floyd is that it doesn't have as much range as my Alexi600, but it's still bada**. The EMGs are just amazing. I have played SDBlackouts, Dimarzio Evolutions, Duncan Jazz and DuncanInvaders, and these are my favorite by far. The EMG 81 provides the mean tone needed for metal and rock, and the EMG 81 is just amazing for shred and even, I was suprised with this, clean settings. I find myself playing on a clean tone with this alot because it sounds so great. I love the EMGs. ALSO I've only had to change the 9V battery once, which is really good considering I play 4-7 hours every day. The neck is amazing. 24 frets, it's sunk into the body really far so I don't find myself reaching over the strings to play...it is very comfortable. The access to the 24th is a bit hard to hit, though, but it's manageable. Just different from my Alexi600 w/the cutaway. The inlays are sick. Haha a few people I know actually thought it was a real razor on the 12th fret! The neck is great. Fast, smooth, semi-shallow. I love this, too. Grover tuners stay in tune so well. ALTHOUGH it doesn't really matter because the LFR and locking nut keeps it in tune. A pickup selector switch, which is actually kinda a pain to reach for w/the way the tremelo bar is placed. But once again, I've gotten used to it! One volume, one tonal.... etc. Tracktion knobs are great while playing live... haha dayum sweaty fingers! The input kinda sucks...I don't like where it's at because I always beang the s*** out of it on stuff. I try to be careful...but I always manage to hit it. :(

My biggest issue is the weight. It is a heavy guitar. It provides the tone, but still, it hurt my back the first 2 weeks.! I got the Yellow/Black bevels and it is amazing. I love this guitar.
