Metallic White/Black

Being a Dean electric guitar, the 7-string Razorback 7 255 looks as good as it sounds. Dangerous-looking edges are highlighted by color-contrast bevels on the body and outlines on the famous Dean headstock. V inlays with Dimebag Darrell's razor blade at the twelfth fret plus all black hardware make the Razorback a wickedly stunning guitar.

The Dean Razorback 7 255 Electric Guitar features a mahogany neck and body and a rosewood fretboard. The V-shape neck has a strong, set joint and a 1-5/8" nut. Grover tuners and a locking tremolo keep you in perfect tune while you dive-bomb the night away. 24 fast frets facilitate wicked, shredding solos and lightning quick chord changes. 3-way switching, volume, and tone control keep things simple, yet tonally flexible, and with tons of presence.

2 powerful active EMG-707 humbuckers
The 707 uses two alnico magnet loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy low end and a fat top end. Because of a more natural tone, it has loads of output but isn't muddy.

Dimebag Darrell Abbott's return to Dean Guitars was one of the many things cut far too short by his death near the end of 2004, but his many drawings and ideas have kept the guitar makers at Dean inspired.

Well, I've been looking around for good seven strings for a few months now and finally found this one at a warehouse. Before, I was actually not a huge fan of Dean guitars. I plugged this one in, and the pickups were just hot. Real power with those active buckers. Sound can be calm, smooth or just plain out crazy. Just buy one; you'll love it.

The Dean Razorback 7 has aggressive looks and sound. The EMG 707's are powerful and flexible, the V shaped neck feels great and the licensed Floyd rose is just as good as the original. The only issue I have encountered is the Low B goes out of tune slightly after about 6-10 hours of play.

I first wanted this guitar after finding out that Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry) uses this masterpiece of a guitar. I was also a somewhat big fan of Dean guitars, so I picked one up at a local music shop and played some licks by bands like Mors Principium Est and Morbid Angel. The neck feels perfect and the EMG 707s are clean and dynamic. This guitar is one meant to be played.

Can I marry my Razorback?

Ok I was skeptical about this guitar because of the painted neck. Usually i just don't feel right playing with a painted neck; however the neck on this guitar great. The V profile on the neck feels very natural. The EMG 707s are powerful, and this guitar is just gorgeous. I keep it tuned to standard (because tuning it is, admitably, frustrating at times) with the lowest string being a low B and it doesn't get muddy at all. It's really good for playing all the newer Trivium stuff and i pretty much use it for anything in standard tuning. If you get this guitar you won't regret it kiddies.

Pricely I would say , but it has all the features I want with easy access and playability on the neck. Can be played with both positions, really big guitar and case. Only thing wrong is that the toggle/3 way switch broke and theres no sound from 1 of the 3 opinions leave me bassy sound thats only good for solos and sweeps .u will need an angled patch cord . Mostly stays in tune after in case and traveling place to place .Has all the feature rather then the ibanez RG7 with a shity body . Try to find a cheaper use one or dent/scratch not worth 1000 even though i pay for in. Try it out first .
