The Dean ML79 brings back some of the best features of the early days of Dean. The mahogany body and awesome flamed maple top provide great sustain. It sounds fabulous on everything from blues to classic rock to metal. Featuring a licensed Floyd Rose, 2 Dean humbuckers, 22 jumbo frets and a set mahogany neck. The ML79 is also a joy to play, with a comfortable medium neck, great intonation and superb action.

This guitar, out of the box, isnt all that amazing. You have to get it setup, and blah blah... but after that, its amazing! the Floyd is Licensed, but stays in tune realtivly well, that is, if u dont mess up the bolts on the nut like I did.
I got new bolts and stays in tune for weeks, and i play every day for at least 2hrs. The frettboard is amazing and neck is extremely fast; great upper frett access. I think the neck is C shaped, but the specs dont specify. The pickups sound pretty mediocre, but they're pretty good, if u like jazz and similar genres. i personally like metal, so i bought some duncans (SH14 Custom 5 in the birdge; PG1 Pearly Gates in the neck)
I sold my Line 6 For a Randall RX120RH and RX412 half stack and the sound is abosulte amazing! I also use a metalcore pedal, and my sound has never been better.
I bought an Original Floyd and the sound and tune-keep are better than the licensed floyd ever were! Tremsetter helps alot too.

after a few hours of bugging my dad to take me to the music store, he finaly gave in and took me. i had been looking to buy a dean for a few years now, and this summer ill have a job so i can buy one. its taken me a long time to choose what guitar ive wanted but once i saw this, i knew it was mine. this was the most comfortable guitar ive ever played. it was fast smooth and beautiful. ill be picking up 2 guitars, and im stuck on what to get as another, so im thinking of getting the Black one as a main, and the Trans Braz. with a string thru body as a secondary

I've had this guitar for about 2 years now. It's an ok guitar with a lot of potential stock.
The licensed floyd is pretty bad; it didn't stay in tune too well, and I couldn't even turn the fine tuners on mine. Also, if you can, you should probably buy this in person because some have terrible back cavity with Floyd bushing showing.
I have made some changes like swapping the LFR to OFR and changing the pickups, and now this thing is a joy to play. Fast neck, great upper fret access, great sound, and bada** looks that constantly gets compliments. I still plan on getting a full refret done with Dunlop 6100, the stock frets are a bit small for my liking.

Its a great guitar, even before You Get it setup. I've had it for around 3days so far, and I feels like it just gets better! I play it out my Line 6 Spider Amp, and it's got beautiful tone, especially if your into Distortion (Metal, Alt, ect) I've no complaints
by the way, It's true, It's WAY more beautiful in person!
I've been to a few guitar stores and played ESP's Gibsons and Fender, they're all great, but the tone just didn't hit me like this one did

I have owned this guitar for several months and I have to say it is a nice guitar. I havent had it setup yet so I hope it will only get better. I love the feel very heavy and solid. The pickups are not great but decent the action is low but has a little buzz the finish is flawless the color is fantastic overall its everything I would expect out of a guitar that cost 3 times as much. I have owed many deans including the custom 450 which was nice but nothing in comparison this is an excellent guitar for anyone beginner to rockstar. Oh it would have been nicer with a bound headstock but thats just being picky .
