The Good, the Great, & the Best

The Dean ML79 was one of two guitars I was doing a "pros and cons" with. I can saftly say that the ML79 was the best choice. I love the blue burst and the gold hardware combination. It's one sharp looking guitar. I have a Marshall MG 100 HDFX half stack and the guitar sounds awesome through it. It's really light so you can play for hours w/o neck strain. It has a slim, medium neck that you really can get your hands around. It also has a lower action to be able to play more gracefully. The cutaway at the body produces great high fret access. The Dime Humbucker pickups produce great rythem playing, solos, & sustain. You really "feel" what you play. The bridge pickup did not activate at first but once warmed up it just sang out. The value of this guitar is perfect for what you get. Not too expensive & not too cheap. It fufills all of my expectations. If your looking for a guitar with great playability, great looks, & nice, powerful, tone, look no further.

For the price this guitar can not be beat. Before i bought it, i was hesitant about the size and the weight. The guitar is remarkably light and very comfortable to play both sitting and standing. I have owned this guitar for three years, and it has held up awesome, no cheap finish on this guitar. It stays in tune and sounds great for a variety of rock.
I gave it 5/5 on everything because i was going to sell it to a friend and buy another guitar, but i just couldnt find another guitar that could come close to the quality/playability. I started by looking at some higher end Deans like the razorback, most of which have a V neck. I have never owned a guitar with a V neck but they feel chunky to me. After drooling over many many different models, and playing them all, i realized that none would have been a "step up" like i was looking for. If you like the way this guitar looks, and your thinking about it, you will not be disapointed.

WOW. i always thought dean guitars were dark metal monsters, which i love. but this one is gorgeous! my music store had 2 of each finish and i bought the blue and silverburst guitars. it is stunning. the playability is very suprising. i never thought a guitar that looked this good could play this well. there is absolutly NO fret buzz, string changing takes no time at all, and its a very light weight guitar. the only reason i gave this guitar a 4.5 in features is because if it had a floyd rose tremelo this would be the god of guitars. i replaced the string through system with a custom gold floyd rose original. ive played these things at my local concerts and people are like "woa that thing is amazing!" i literally cant keep my hands off this guitar. it is an amzing guitar for the buy. buy it, you absolutly will NOT be dissapointed

I have owned this guitar for a couple months now and it plays like a dream come true, whether im playing classic rock or new age metal. The finish to this guitar is absolutely beautiful. Nice low action because i like to shred. The neck is really nice and just big enough to make me comfortable and small enough to where it you can move all over the place and not get your hand all worked up. I have only had one problem out of it one time when i used the toggle switch and it wouldnt switch back, and that only happened one or two times and all i had to do was just switch the toggle switch around a little bit and it would fix itself, other than that, it has been a dream come true.

I bought this guitar a little over a half a year ago, and still it plays like a dream, just like right out of the box. i tune my guitar down to C half the time, and it has real low action with no buzz, wether tuned to standard or lower. The finish is beautiful, i like how it shines in the sun, and looks in the light. the way the binding and hardware looks vintage is nice too. if you buy, you will not regret it!
