This was my first guitar. I picked it up a little over a year ago. Being new to the guitar, the thing that attracted me to it the most was its beautiful style, look, and finish. The tuners are rock solid and the thing hardly ever goes out of tune. I have to admit, the humbuckers are a little weak, but playability is truly awesome. My Gibsons just don't feel as good as this guitar. It has become my preferred electric guitar.

Great thick neck, cool inlays, and great great finish.

Stays in tune quite well, certainly not a concern with this beast.

Humbuckers are okay. I DO intend to change them out to maybe Dimarzios, or Seymours but they're not terrible;I could make due.

Overall, very good axe. Worth the price easily.

I got this guitar off ebay (about 1/3 the price) in like-new condition, and it has been a great investment. I've been playing guitar for about a year and needed a decent ax to give me the ability to do what I want to do and sound passable. This guitar does so, and then some.

It comes with all the standards: two humbuckers, 3-way switch, Grover tuners, mahogany body, set neck, rosewood fingerboard, etc.

It's very light, which is nice, but it won't give you as thick of a sound as similarly-priced Epiphone LP's.

It stays in tune relatively well.

The coil taps are bogus. Basically just give you significantly more hum with less clarity. Don't even bother with them. The two pickups do, however, offer a good tonal variety.

Had to raise the action, and it needed to be intonated (the guy who owned it before me was a metal noob), but the action is still low and I can fly melodically through my scales.

Setup was great, though I can't comment on the finish as I got the coated black version. Binding, frets, tuning keys all well-dressed.

Playing through a Peavey Valveking into a Marshall JCM800 1960A cab, I get a lot of bass presence and clarity. It doesn't "sing" like my brother's Fernandes Ravelle, but if you put some Alnico II's in there, you'd have yourself a praiseworthy guitar.

While it's by no means perfect, it'll tide me over until I have enough money for an American-made Hardtail or a high-end Gibson ('81 silverburst... drools).

Looks can be decieving

When I purchased this guitar, I was very excited. Then when I received it, I was very disappointed to say the least. It looks really nice. However, the hardware is cheap. When I plugged it in for the first time, the bridge pickup did not work. I had to take it to a repair shop the day after I got it. Another thing that bothers me about this guitar is that it has a plastic nut. For the price, it is almost insulting. I had a bone nut installed and the pickups rewired. Now, it is a playable guitar.
