Decent Guitar at a Decent Price

I found the Dean Exotica Nomad Acoustic-Electric while I was pairing down for a major move. I opted to purchase based on the cut-away parlor-sized body. (this is the first one I've ever seen!)I also liked that it was ready to plug in, no need to install a pickup as with the Little Martin I had. I did my normal upgrades: Planet Waves Self trimming tuners and bronze bridge pins. While the mids and highs come through really well, this guitar does lack the delicious bass tones of the Little Martin. This problem is easily dealt with by EQ-ing when plugged in. I do wish that Dean offered a gig bag designed to fit. After a long time looking for a case, I opted for an SKB classical size case and use the bit of extra room to tuck the strap in. Having moved from the east coast to the desert, I was worried about drying, but this has not been a problem. All-in-all a nice, affordable parlor cutaway for the money.
