There is no way around this guitar its great reliable tone that wont let you down. Ive been using it for 2 years now and I still cant find anything I don't like about it. Stays in tune well good tone, great feel, and cool looks. I plan on holding on to it.

Great guitar; I had to sell my first one to buy grocieries last year during hard economic times and always wanted to get it back. I am very impressed with Dean and the quality of their "low-end" guitars. I am definitely a Dean only man now. The only thing I plan on changing is the pickups; sorry, but I'm an active p/u fan...gonna put an EMG 60 (Ivory) in the neck and an EMG 81 (Ivory) in the bridge. However, if you like passive p/u's the dimebucker is great (that goes without saying), but also the neck p/u (whatever it is...Dean or otherwise) isn't bad for a stock p/u.

wow is all i gotta say about this guitar. it just gets better and better when i play it. almost had this beauty a year and it kicks butt! almost been playin guitar for 3 years and now im getting to the point where i want my own look, own sounds etc. so i changed this guitar just a lil bit.
i changed the p'ups to dimarzio's. the only disapointment i got from the pickups part from this guitar is that the dimebucker IS NOT A REAL SEYMOUR DUNCAN. all seymour duncan p'ups have the seymour duncan logo, and a "made in america" logo. the dimebucker in my guitar had none of that and just said "seymour duncan research" in small letters, so that was a disappointment. anyway, i put an OFR in it( any of you guys that wanna put an OFR in this guitar, DO IT! this guitar's recess is perfect for it!) and that made it even better. my last change on it was that i had to change the headstock. i love dime and he will always be my inspiration and in my heart, but i dont want the "dime" on the headstock anymore, so i painted it over with black paint, and left the Dean logo on it. after i regretted that and got over it, this guitar truly came out beautiful. this guitars neck is butter. i had to clean it with lemon oil, adjust the action and all that good stuff, but it was worth it in the end. the body is just wicked!(in my opinion the best guitar shape ever).with my new p'ups, it sounds AWESOME. BUT... if your a shy person, i wouldnt get this guitar cause it sticks out like a sore thumb in public. in my opinion, a very light guitar (coming from someone that weighs 115 pounds),and just an awesome guitar. this guitar will always be the first guitar that i pick up to practice with and it will forever be my number 1.
thanks for reading.

I debated whether or not to get this or the DFH... so I got both. Never the less this one is not put down. I did change the pick-up to a L-500XL the the DFH, and recommendation flip the Dimebucker so the treble blade is first. The squeels are incredible. Get a lesson on how to tune on a Floyd Rose if you haven't already learned, it can be the difference between love and hate. The neck pick-up is fat and gives good tone for blues solos or Dime solos like "Walk" and "This Love". Buy it, but set it up right before you play... it makes a huge difference.

Had this guitar for about a month now and love it. Distorted tones are amazing, and clean tones are also very good.
My only complaint is setting up the floyd rose. Make sure you do your research on their website and/or youtube to help you with it if you dont have prior experience. But other than that, there is absoloutely nothing wrong with this guitar.
