Black Silver

A Dave Mustaine Signature V from Dean Guitars. Though that might say it all, you should also know that this beast comes loaded with screaming Dave Mustaine Live Wire USA custom active humbuckers, and Dunlop flush mount straplocks. With its beveled edges, this V really looks like it can fly. Mustaine remarks that this guitar's neck is even better than what he has played before, and that the deluxe inlays, which are like a dot/sharktooth combo, are remarkable.

I own this(dean vmnt silver). Nice action, nice sustain, ok paint job, ok frets, pretty fast neck. Best part about this guitar Dave Mustaine signature active pickups, screaming clarity best way to put it. Only guitar I know that comes with strap locks big plus. Craftsmanship is ok at best guitar feels more like a toy than an instrument. Not a bad guitar but the price for this is extremely outrageous.

I own this guitar and loved it more than any other guitar. Many of my friends say that Dean's guitars suck but I disagree. Deans are the best guitars I ever played. The only thing you have to not like on this guitar is that it's hard sort of uncomfortable when your sitting down with it. But other than that, greatest guitar I have ever played.

Even though the VMNT1 plays well and the Mustaine Active pickups sound great, I was extremely disappointed in this guitar. The first guitar I received the bridge broke through the top of the body in shipping exposing a hollow V body. The quality is below average with many cosmetic flaws. The one I kept had sloppy glue marks on the fret board, runs in the paint and there were gaps between the neck binding and neck paint. The hardshell case is flimsy but does protect the guitar. I ended up selling this guitar and buying and ESP, much better quality there. Dave you should have gone back to Jackson Guitars or compromised with ESP. I gave this guitar a 3 in features due to the Mustaine Active pickups and Grover tuners.

This is a ok guitar . Just not worth the price. The action is ok but the second fret buzzes. Another important thing the spec says ebony fretboard, but mine came with that all too familiar cheap rosewood. The pickups and neck are the only redeeming quality on this guitar. Pinch harmonics are fairly easy to pull off. Another flaw is that there seems to be a large cavity in the mahogany body so there is a more hollow sound to chugging and low pedal tones. The string tension is also a big downer, cause I have 9's on it and bending up a whole step is a chore unlike all my other guitars.
