Im a veteran player of 35 years. The rotten feedback these guitars have gotten from some crack me up. I mean honestly really those cats forgot that you get what you pay for. If you want a killer ax made for pro playing then get a Gibson or Fender, Ibanez, etc. But for the money these guitar are just fine for practice and beginner to intermediates. If you gut them out set them up correctly, and put in hot rod electrics they take on new character. I know this to be true, cause ive been doin it fo years. Of course if I dont want to mess with anything, or just want pro sound, without the extra time/work to set up a new ax, ive got my Strat, Marshalls, Les Paul, Ibanex, etc.. The point is these guitars can rock, IF, you know what to do with them! I bought mine cause...I just wanted it!

Not for big hands.

I have owned this guitar for a few years now, while mine is slightly different than the one shown (smaller headstock, 1 volume and 1 tone) it is pretty much the same.

First of all, if you have big hands or are a big person, this guitar might not be the best for you, unless you want to look like a giant. The neck is narrower than any of my other guitars, so making some chords was harder.

Second, the knobs and the jack like to come loose all the time, so tighten them up before playing. Also developed an annoying buzz somewhere in the electronics. Jack is in a horrible place. Mine also came without the top strap button so I had to put one on the neck joint screw.

Action is pretty good. Tuning keys are picky, not the best. Those little black string thru things will fall out if you arent careful. The saddle ate up my strings until I fixed it. Nice color (metallic copper).

Overall, not a bad guitar, not a great guitar. Better for beginners and smaller players.

It feels real nice to play. The plug in port for the cord being in the crevice of the v is kinda weird, but not that bothersome really. I really like the purple color too. It sounds very good. Great for the value.

I've had the Dean Baby-V for close to 3 years, and it hasn't stayed in tune for 2 of them. Also the jack is on the inside of the V, which is terrible, because you can't have it on your knee, plus the jack comes loose all the time. It's also not even close to what I call good tone. My main guitar is the ESP M-400, but I still use the V in drop D while I wait to get a third guitar to replace it, so I'm not being dismissive because I don't play it, because I DO play it. I should have gone with a different first guitar, and so should you. I remain disappointed in the Baby-V.
