I had this wah, it broke for no apparent reason and then I bought a Vox. But lasted from 2002-2008. I play guitar at low volumes in my condo with a drum machine and the occasional bass player, and this is the best wah I have tried,....The Vox, a Morley,... I don't know how this would sound or sustain a live environment. However, as an intimate jam wah it is the best I have tried.

This pedal does not work very well

Let's start by saying I am a beginner guitarist, and am not picky about how my gear sounds. I payed for this wah and it sounds cheap. Unless I use the bass channel, which is impossible to press with me foot, I cannot hear wah effect on any strings but my high E.

Disappointing

I was disappointed with this pedal. First was when I took it out of the box and saw the pedal was made of plastic. As far as the sound goes, it was very thin and hollow sounding. The treble wah was shrill and distorted. The mid and bass wahs were better, but still thin and hollow sounding. The only two I would use would be the mid and bass, but the buttons were so difficult to press it would be useless in a live environment. This was my first Danelectro purchase and I must say I will certainly think twice before buying something else from them.

My friend let me borrow this pedal from him so that i would have something to practice on. As soon as i turned it on it had great sound.I wasn't too crazy about the limited sweep but it sounds great!

junk pedal - DO NOT BUY

I bought this pedal about two years ago. It was fine when I got it, at least for what I needed it for. There are a number of problems with this pedal though:

-Treble wah is the only "wah type" that could actually be used in the middle of song since the other two buttons are impossibly small.

-Wah types all sound pretty much the same anyway

-The position of the lights also makes much more difficult to know if the pedal is on or off quickly, compared to other wah pedals

-The range of the wah is pretty small, and pedal sweep is pretty narrow

On top of all this (which makes this pedal virtually useless to anyone who uses wah with any regularity), my pedal broke on me for no apparent reason. It does not send a signal to the amp when the wah is on and it muds up my tone when it's off. This is after only two years of almost non-use (and ironically it broke the first time I needed it in a recording). I honestly probably used it less than 20 times, most of the time I never even plugged it in to my guitar.

Overall, this pedal is junk and should only be bought if you really can't afford anything else, and rarely use wah effects in the first place. As I said in the title: DO NOT BUY!
