It does the job.

After reading such mixed reviews, I began to wonder if I made the right purchase. With skepicism, I plugged in into my polytone and strat and yes! It worked just fine with both controls at about 11. Because the reverb on my polytone is broken, all that was needed was a bit of depth, nothing fancy and nothing distracting from basically good amp/guitar tone. Worth the money but not worth the drama of such adament reviews. Exactly adequate for the job at hand. Enjoy!

It's a joke / It's great

I got it, tried it, thought, 'it's a joke toy echo', meant to return it, missed the deadline, felt bad about wasting the money, put it in a drawer for months. Took it out one day, wired it up, noticed that on low settings it added a nice subtle 'air flare' to the guitar- not a reverb or an echo, just a little something. Later, was unsatisfied with my reverbs and echoes, ie, the Damage Control Glass Nexus and others, all very hi-fi but never delightful, reverb/echo you hear but don't feel. Hooked this thing into the effects loop - vocals and acoustic guitar- instant arrival. That's it, the sound I wanted, just leave it on, tweak it sometimes but really, there it is, the cheapest pedal of all giving a hybrid reverb/echo sound that just sounds...perf. Thing was, I didn't suss it till I used it in context, live as a splash of space rounding out the vocals and guitar. Try it out of the box, doink, doink, you think, 'that's not a reverb, it's joke toy echo'. Like Dan's Flanger, echoes, BLT, the Corned Beef just does it right somehow. I think it's great. Hail, Danelectro!

This pedal is amazing. I originaly bought this pedal for my vocals because I dont have PA system. But when I tryied my guitar with it I was amazed. It gave you that old bluesy tone. Very Buddy Guy or Eric Clapton. I recently bought the blues pedal kit i think i will take the BLT echo out and use that for my vocals and use this is the pedal board. This is a great old style reverb.

This is a great pedal it just is more of a delay not a reverb. I have the Holy Grail. I bought this to put for my vocals because I love the Holy Grail to much not to use on the guitar. This is great for vocal it really fattens up your sound.
