heavy sound

I've used this pedal for studio and live at stage. I think that the sound is heavy, and it loud. The quality is very good if you're looking for metal pedal. Since it only has 2 knob, I can't give more rating fot it's feature. The octave switch isn't very usefull for me, since I don't like it much. But after all, it's a valuable pedal for you, if you look for a metal sound (for rhytm, or playing riffs, but not for solos).

Not Worth Buying

I've had this pedal for about a month last year and I was disappointed with it so I sold it. It makes such a bad feddback sound and the worst part is when turn it an octave; its sounds weak and also the knobs keep falling of, there just glued in. I wouldn't recommend this pedal to anyone. Trust me save your money for a better one like a boss pedal.

Normally I go with Boss, but this pedal is the best VALUE you can find in distortion. The price combined with the octave makes me think I only needed to buy this pedal, compared to the other ones I own. I do use a Boss Noise Supressor, but I don't remember the feedback being as bad as some people say before I had the suppression. There are better distortion pedals out there, but you don't need them if you're on a budget, especially on a Fender amp.

Much Better than the bad rap

I've heard a lot of snoody people put Danelectro down because they're loyal Boss pedal people. They say that the quality of the sound and the durability of the pedals are nothing at all like Boss. And to be honest, I believed them. But I was at my local music store, just playing around and I tried this pedal out. I was totally blown away. I thought the sound was equal to Boss. I love the Octave down switch too. and with the knobs turned at ONLY 1/4 its plenty loud to practice with at home. I wouldn't think twice about putting this in a pedal chain and using it on stage. It has some majorly awesome distortion. Kudos Danelectro.

A Disappointment

Right away, I was disappointed by the tone I got out of it. There is way too much 'noise' for my tastes, not enough of the guitar tone is present. The octave switch isn't very useful; it sounds weak when playing single notes, and fails miserably on chords. The pedal is not very versatile. The one pro is that it gets prodigious feedback, which could be used for some cool effects. However, the pedal is just not versatile at all. I have yet to try it with my guitar tuned lower, and that might help with the 'noise' issue, but as it is I have had difficulty finding a tone that I like. If you like cascades of feedbacked-noise, then you might enjoy this pedal. It has the potential to do some cool things, but I have as of yet had no luck finding a tone that I really like. Somewhat of a disappointment, but I guess I should have known better. If you can find this pedal on the cheap, its worth experimenting with. However it's not worth the price new.
