Great Pedal

I got this pedal as a "throw in" when I bought a used guitar. I didn't expect to use it, but thought I would plug it in to see if it worked. I was amazed at what I heard when I stepped on the button. Great distortion and great tone. I don't really think of heavy metal when discussing danelectro, but this pedal produces a very raw but clear distortion. I just bought a vypyr with all the "great" hardcore amp models. I find myself on a clean fender twin setting using the fab tone as my source to melt faces. Check it out!

Great Little Pedal!

I bought this pedal at my local music store just as something to play around with... I was (and still am) very surprised at the number and range of tones you can squeeze outta this little thing. It's a heavy duty pedal too! NOT plastic! I use it mainly for solos, which it delivers thick, creamy, and LOUD. Enough controls to easily find your tone but not so many that I gets confusing... I also use it in conjunction with other distortion pedals to get instant squeals and feedback for some songs. GREAT pedal for the price!

I have used too many distortion pedals to mention and this one offers simplicity, a great killer sound, ease of use and good looks. It is also very sturdy. It does not have too much flexibility, you will get a fat crunch tone without too much range but it is a winner.

Don't get me wrong its a nice pedal gets kind of British type tone but depending on the guitar and kind of pick ups you have the lead tones can be kind of thin. Which means to fatten up the tone you would need some extra EQS to fatten it up. Overall its a Descent pedal but it lacks with out an EQ boost in the lead tones plus it needs a mid Control.

I bought this out of nostalgia. My first Bass was a Danelectro. Wish I still had it. My weapon of choice now is Fender but I had to try out this Dano Fuzz. I was beyond whelmed! The booklet gives settings that are great and accurate! I now play slide Guitar and this thing is just super fantastic with my Fender Telecaster! I used to play professionally and have recorded at Chess in Chicago as a studio Musician. The Mud would have loved this Dano Fuzz. The only drawback is that it sucks the life outta batteries. Get a plug in power pack.
