I just bought this when I was in Texas about a week ago. I wanted to my amp to sound a little bit heavier. So I wanted to buy the Metal Zone Pedal, But I didn't have the money. So I gave this pedal a shot... It's really cheap! And it really give's an awesome metal sound!! So please, when you don't have the money give Danelectro a chance.

I got this pedal the other day when I was looking for a serious death metal sound and boy did I find it. This pedal gives all of the sounds of a pedal three times the price. Get it NOW!!!

I have not experimented with a whole lot of different pedals but this is the best one I have ever used. It has awsome rich, scooped modern metal tone with hardly no feedback. I personally like this cool cat metal 2 pedal more than the cool cat metal pedal because it has more distortion and sounds brighter, more modern and crystal clear to me where as the metal pedal is deeper and a little raspier sounding. However, the metal pedal does sound just a tad more clear when doing high soloing, but it is not as easy to do because of the metal pedals lack of distortion against the metal 2 pedal.

This pedal sounds to me like it was made for any type of classic metal to extremly modern heavy rock or metal because it has a crazy amount of distortion and has a little 3-way switch that goes from no scoop (for old school classic metal), to intermediate scoop (for eighties metal), to fully scooped (for the most modern metal there is). This pedal sounds great even when you crank the volume way up because it is super crisp.

All around these are amazing sturdy pedals with great tone and they are mostly made of metal so they are fairly heavy whitch is a good thing (you can stomp the heck out of them and they hold up like a charm). I have had the cool cat metal pedal and the cool cat metal 2 pedal for a few months now and have been pretty darn aggressive with them and I have had no problem with them what so ever. This is the perfect pedal for the "shredder" and I would recommend this pedal to anyone. Look up the cool cat metal pedal and check out my review for that one.
