I just got this pedal and compared it to my marshall mg10s distortion and it distorted more!The only bad side is that if you use it on the od channel it starts screeching.

I have not experimented with a whole lot of different pedals but this is the best I have ever used, it has an awsome tone and a good deep metal sound with hardly no feedback. I personally like the metal 2 pedal more because it is a bit brighter and more modern.

This pedal sounds more to me like it was meant for classic crunch and modern rock, because it has less distortion and sounds just a tad reserved to me. When cranked up I think this pedal sounds a little messy.

All around they are very sturdy and are made of mostly metal so they are fairly heavy whitch is a good thing (you can totally stomp the heck out of them). I have had the cool cat medal and metal 2 pedals for a few months now and have been pretty darn aggressive with them and they hold up like a charm. In my opinion this is a steel for this pedal.
