Stifling feedback

I like what is included in this amp. The features look great on paper , especially the effects, but the feedback is awful. The wah is almost useless because of the feedback. The clear channel is about the most user friendly but if I had it to do over I would have looked more. Decent for practice though , impossible to use for performing.

I should have bought a better amp

I've had this amp for about a year or so. I've been using it on occasion with a large variety dance band, miking the amp through the main sound system for better coverage. Overall, this amp is totally inadequate for my use. The tone variations are limited, when I try to play something with a jazz feel there's pretty much nothing there. (no, it's NOT my playing!) :-) Even with the amp amplified, the rock and funk doesn't have any presence. Overall, for lack of a better word, a 'wimpy' sound. It's features are kind of nice in theory (built in tuner, effects, 2 distortion/overdrives). I was hoping to have a small amp with a good sound. What I ended up with is a small amp . . . For a practice amp I think it's probably ok, but as a practical performance amplifier, useless, at least in my type of application.

Decent Amp

When I bought this amp, I made the mistake of not playing it before I ordered it. I mean, it's a good amp. But if I had been more knowledgable of guitar equipment, as I am now, I wouldn't have bought it. I probably would've saved up for a Randall combo amp, to get a better metal tone. I gave it a 9 for Features because, frankly the distortion is very fuzzy and buzzes when you're not playing. The effects are cheap and VERY processed (the reverb isn't too bad). I gave it an 8 for quality, because I have to run a Line 6 POD through it to get a tone I like. For Value I gave it a 10, because it IS a decent amp for beginners. I just don't care for it. If you're just starting out playing guitar, then by all means buy this amp. But if you're a more experienced guitar player who knows what kind of tone they like and want, get something better. (*NOTE*: NEVER EVER buy ANY kind of equipment before you have had a chance to play it!!!)
