Great Guitar

I bought the Cordoba C5 two years ago, and I have enjoyed it ever since. The tone is great, and it is definitely worth buying. The Cordoba will beat any guitar in its price range, and it looks much better too. The only problem I have is that the inlays are not on the fretboard, but on the side of the fretboard, and I sometimes get mixed up.

Another problem is one day, when I walked into my house, the bridge had come off. Luckily I was still on my 1 year warrantee. Get a humidifier.

The C5's Achille's Heel

My C5 was received 4 years ago. I enjoyed the guitar very much, it was above-and-beyond good-looking for the price, and its sound was warm-semi-bright and projected well. At the end of last year I upgraded my strings for more serious classical guitar study...later in the same week I came home to a fully separated bridge. The glue was intact; the wood itself gave way with some wood fibers stuck to the glue on the bridge. I miss the guitar. I actually want to send it to a luthier to have it repaired...or I may just buy another one. My advice to any who want to get this guitar: if you live in dry/arid climates, get a HUMIDIFIER for the guitar case...this probably might have saved my guitar. P.S. mine was made in Portugal.

I am a beginner; however my teacher of classical guitar seems quite amazed by the purchase, playablitiy and price of the C5. The more playing time I put in, the more volume the guitar seems develop. It's one of those things you purchase and you can not seem to walk by it without picking it up..It's a lot of fun - that's foresure. I am certain you will enjoy it!

Definitely worth getting

When I first bought the guitar several weeks ago, I was quite satisfied. Eventually one of the strings developed a fret buzz and I had to send everything back to get it replaced. I regressed back to my older acoustic steel string guitar and boy did I miss that Cordoba! I underestimated the quality of the sound because I had nothing to compare it with but I'm getting it back soon and I'll probably dedicate that entire day to sit back, tune the guitar, and simply sit back playing my favorite songs.

For those who are looking into a classical guitar and are fence-straddling between the C5 and another, I guarantee that you won't be sorry if you had to choose this one over the latter.

need more attention to set up

This is a beautiful guitar, but it has not been set up properly. The action is way too high and I had to reset it. It has a nice mellow sound and the workmanship is excellent. They should spend more time on the set up. The gig bag is nice and its padded. It is easily played.
