I have been searching for a long time trying to find an overdrive pedal that gave me: awesome tone, smooth distortion, allowed my guitar and amp to shine through, didn't have intermodulation distortion (nastyness when you play more than one note).This pedal delivered! Absolutely the best I've found for the tones I want. A strat through a deluxe with this pedal allows you to easily play clean, sustained solos or gritty and dirty. Two effects in one box with a power supply, nice. I no longer use my MXR microamp and Ibanez Tubescreamer. More convenient and better sounding.

The boost is the best part of this box. Absolutely great for punching up the volume on leads for a single channel Marshall Super Lead. Great quality, too. The distortion is alright and an added bonus to a great clean boost pedal.

If getting a boost for solos is a problem, and to me, it seems it would be common, than this is the pedal for you. I was surprised by how few companies produce a pedal strickly for this purpose. Although the distortion feature is average, nice for a bluesy, slight gain on the clean channel, the boost is just what I had been searching for. With the boost level on 2 at most, my solos now cut through beautifully. My only complaint would be that when I tried to run the pedal in series with my other stomp boxes, (and I only use a Chorus, and Whah), the boost didn't work on my Gain channel. It worked fine on the clean channel but was useless for the gain channel. So to remedy this, I ran it through the effects loop and that worked. Unfortunately it adds to more cables to my setup, and I may soon be tripping over myself but it will be worth it. (as long as I can solo from the seat of my pants) Great product.
