The AC-Tone pedal offers 2 channels of overdrive, voiced alike for preset usage, and also gives you a clean channel with a boost of up to 20dB. The overdrive is low to medium gain for a sweet and crisp tone with mellow midrange reminiscent of the old TopBoost amps from the late 60's. The 2 channels range from a mild breakup to a healthy overdriven sound. One channel can be used for slightly chimey breakup, and the other channel set for more overdrive, with saturated mids and drive. Lots of flexibility means you'll always have the sounds to meet your needs. The AC-Tone pedal has a built in regulated (+-12V) power supply, to secure the necessary headroom for great tone.

This Carl Martin pedal has a internal power supply instead of a wall wart, doesn't take batterys and is like getting three pedals in one. Turns any vintage single chanel amp in to a 3 channel amp with it's 2 drive stages and seperate boost function. Any old Fender amp will benefit from this pedal. It has a crunchy bright sound but not brittle at all. It sounds nothing like a Tube Screamer clone. Set one drive for a little shimmering crunch, set the next for full on O.D. then kick in the 20 d.b.boost for even more fun. Built like the proverbial tank too. I'd buy another if this was stolen that's for sure.

I've owned the C.M.AC-tone for a month now and it kicked another pedal off my pedal board. I have a early 70's Traynor Guitarmate and it sound incredible with this amp. Having 2 drives with the same sound is great if you want your sound consistant. I leave one set with a little crunch and one cranked. It also work great with other O.D pedals in front of it. The boost really drives your ampfor more headroom. Best O.D. pedal I've ever owned(and I've owned 100's in the 38 years I've played.

this pedal is awesome it really has a good harmonicly full tone. it sounds best with tube amps. solid state players beware it gets kinda piercing without a 412 cab. i use it at church for worship. i play it through a blond fender hotrod 410 and a 52 telecaster ri. the boost feature is awesome when you dont want to change or add a overdrive to boost your signal.
