The C Tech V2 Pocket Rockit Headphone Amplifier captures the tonal heritage of 50 years of guitar amp design. It combines analog and digital signal processing to reproduce classic tube amp tones. A proprietary DSP engine provides awesome digital effects such as reverb, delay, chorus, and flange, while an analog front end generates classic amp emulation tones.
You don't even need a cable. Like all Pocket Rockit products, the V2 plugs directly into any guitar. Just plug it in, put on your headphones and you're ready to rock 'n' roll. You can even play along with your favorite CD. Best of all, the V2 sounds better than many full-blown amplifiers.
The C Tech V2's amp emulation circuitry models vintage and current classics. The Clean amp button scrolls through 3 clean or slightly over-driven tones. The Dirty amp button scrolls through 3 gnarly, positively nasty high-gain selections. Sounds reminiscent of classic Fender, Marshall, Soldano and other amps are at your fingertips.
This headphone amp has 2 independent DSP effect banks: a delay bank with straight delay, flange, and chorus: and a reverb bank that includes arena reverb, small-hall reverb, and an echo effect. Use any effect independently, or use one from each bank simultaneously.
A digital tuner features audible low-E, A, D, G, B and high-E notes. Tri-colored LED indicates flat, sharp, or in tune. It's a perfect tool for improving your ear. A built-in click track/metronome has a naturally- sampled snare drum hit - there's no annoying buzz or tone. The Pocket Rockit's metronome has adjustable tempos between 60 -180 bpm provides a great way to work on your time.

I've had it for five weeks and used it sporadically until one night it just started cutting out. I just kept getting worse until now it's completeluy useless. The 9v battery barely fits and so the cover is difficult to open. It also came with a scratch on the battery cover but I didn't mind because that shouldn't hurt performance. Something has hurt performance to the point that it doesn't function. I'd return it except that I can't find the receipt....

I thought this was the perfect headphone amp I was looking. Having the tuner, the metronome, and the extra effects. But after purchasing I was quite disapointed. The tuner tuned WAY sharp. I also didn't like that you can only select certain speeds for the metronome, and the volume of the metronome was a too high for my liking. I didn't want to go deaf while practicing. The tone was great the though, for a headphone amp.
I took it back and bought the V1 which I was again disappointed because of the battery not fitting issue and the line out jack was crackling.
So I took the V1 back and bought the S1. The S1 was the best out of all 3 products and would suggest S1 especially for the price. The V2 is a little to good to be true. Though it comes close there is still a ways to go before it is an ideal product.

I'm a beginner, so daily practice on the basics is vital for me. I travel all over the world, so a small guitar/amp package is important.
I use this amp with my Traveler Speedster, and it's nice to be able to practice on a plane, in a hotel room, or anywhere else I want to go.
It has a nice selection of effects, and the click is great for picking up speed.
The battery compartment cover seems a bit flaky, and the built in tuner tunes each note to the sharp. Since my Orange Micro-Crush has a proper built-in tuner, I simply use it, or the tuner on my laptop when I'm traveling.

I have used this pocket amp on my speedster for a few months and I love it. The features are great and give me plenty of varity on any guitar i plug it into while on the run. I would have rated higher on value if c-tech would have added rechargable battery and charger to this package. I would have paid the extra for it to.

My wife is in med-school, studying all the time, so a regular amp isn't really an option for me to practice with. The rockit V2 saves the day. I can practice at 'full volume' and never bother her. The built in tuner, isn't super-accurate, but it does the job for cheap. The metronome is helpful for a beginner like me. And the effects are varied enough to keep my interest up. Where ever I take my axe, I take my rockit. You should get your own headphones though, the ones it comes with are pretty lame.
