Built with the finest components and construction to withstand the abuse of constant roadwork, the Budda Superdrive 30 Series II Combo won't let you down. You can dial in just the right amount of gain and volume for late night studio work and small club venues. The rhythm channel packs plenty of punch and dynamics, just like Budda's famous Twinmaster circuit. The flex of the EL84 and 5u4 rectifier tubes give an elasticity to your tone that is pure organic soul! The amplifier's hi-gain channel offers plenty of variation, from creamy blue tones, to full on hyperdrive crunch. The master doesn't choke the amp, so you get plenty of touch-sensitive sustain at low volume settings.

The Superdrive features speaker cable wiring by Monster Cable. Monster Cable uses Time Correct Windings and advanced cable construction to deliver an accurate signal with deeper bass and wider dynamic range in high performance sound reinforcement applications. Budda has never sounded better.

Boutique quality for less-than boutique price

I've predominately used Marshall over the years, and presently use a JCM800 and Fender Deluxe Reverb as my main amps. Before buying the Budda I seriously considered Mesa ElectraDyne and Rivera Fandango, though I played through a countless number of amps by both large production and boutique manufacturers. My objective was to find something that was versatile, simplistic in style and operation, and different in sound and appearance. Bingo. The SD30II is capable of beautiful Vox-like cleans to downright nasty Marshall-esque distortion and everything in between, without emulating any amp. Make no mistake; the Budda has a voice entirely its own. The EQ is shared between channels but the bands are satisfyingly effective and dialing in your sweet spot is quite easy. It's a beautiful amp and build-quality is second-to-none. And with only six knobs it's exceedingly simple to use and get to know.

What I find most amazing is how I went so long without considering this amp. Maybe it was the purple that averted my attention, but all it took was to plug in that made me a believer. Pun intended.

Ignore the naysayers!

Been playing this amp about 3 years now and it's the best amp I've ever heard! I am unable to find anything that comes close. Super sweet gain channel, unmatched anywhere in my opinion. Wonderfully articulate, just a beautiful instrument. Some say it's over priced, I say it's worth every penny. As far as reverb goes, the tone is complex enough that none is needed...unless someone was just trying to cover up their sloppy playing of course...

Not for me...

I've played this and it wasn't capable of doing what I wanted, which was high gain mayhem. I've never played a Buddah before this and had no knowledge of what type of amps they were. I think that this amp is extremely over priced, especially considering the fact that the damn thing doesn't even have reverb. I also can't stand how all of the reviews for this and the 1x12 Buddah are the exact same. Obviously someone's trying to push marketing for these two overpriced amps. Musicians Friend will probably edit my comment as usual to get what they want out of the comment too. Save your money and get something else.

Glassy big tone and sweet overdrive make this a fabulous amp. I own three Budda's and people always comment on how great my sound is. You can really hear the articulation in each note. Just sweet. Reverb would be the only thing that I could suggest to the folks at Budda to add.
