I tried this pedal with the MT2 pedal, Cooltron Brit pedal, Visual Sound 808 tube screamer and this pedal really was better than all the other pedals. Has a good punch and doesn't drown the Mid nor Lows. Well worth the money.....

I have owned this pedal for about 14 years now, and for several of those years the pedal stood up to everyday use. After about 8 years, though, the "drive" pot crapped out. I'm still not sure what happened, but one day it was just frozen and would not turn. I forced it to turn and it broke! I used to just through it in to the back of my old Peavey amp cabinet, being an open back model, and transport the pedal to gigs that way, so that may have caused this. Sound-wise, you can get great distortion tone, but at the cost of much feedback and noise. I have always believed BOSS makes great products, and this is the first to ever fail me, and then it was after 8 years of everyday use (and may have failed by my own fault). I have since soldered in a new control pot, and the pedal is usable once again, and will likely last as long as I do (and I'm still young).

this pedal's distortion when set right sounds amazing with the boss digital delay. it's an ok distortion but if you use delay a lot then definatly buy this to use with it.

the day the pedal came in i thought wow this will be great until i plugged it in. first of all it has heavy overdrive which isnt bad but on 2. now the tone is another thing i wasnt plaesed with. the either really high or really low thing was not my peace of cake. but 1 thing i like about this pedal is it does what is not even in its name. as many will tell you it is a great booter pedal. its cheaper than all the boost pedals i've seen and does an awsome job. its built like a tank so no worries there

I expected this pedal to be...just decent. This thing truly exceeds my expectations! You can get all sorts of amazing sounds out o this thing! In fact, I even got this thing, a crappy Squier guitar, and a basic amp to make me sound alike to Michal Angelo Batio (along with many other amazing sounds)

Now obviously, just like any pedal, it doesn't sound good with everything you normally play, but this thing is great!

The only reason I rate it low for features is that it's just a basic (boss) pedal, which doesn't affect it's greatness!

And again, like said, this thing is built like a tank(or better!), and will easily last longer than the 5 year warranty that comes with this monster.
