Imagine having each of the pedals this thing emulates, all with the dials set at 12oclock with little room for improvement. It gets the idea across on most settings, but for me most are useless. I do have my favorite four settings saved, but that is the od/lead settings at different levels, and the boost which I use in front of my amp for solos. the distortions are too digital and "buzzy" sounding for me.

i found this pedal has alot of choices with alot of variables but i quicky releazed only 2-3 were very good for my choices in distortion(metalzone,distortion factory,death metal pedals)great for a studio to have on hand but not very usefull for the average guitarist

I'll start by saying that I'm a tone geek. I take a really long time to dial in my settings. I originally thought that this would quench my tone obsession but it just made it more complex. The features on the od-20 aren't features on the distortion pedals it claims to emulate. The "bottom," "attack shape," and "heavy octave" features get in the way of achieving a sound that comes close to the desired tone emulation. This one is my loaner nowadays.

This is a Pretty good pedal for beginners and studio musicians, it has alot of sounds to experiment with and sounds great. Unfortunately it just doesn't hold up in my standard. I liked a few of the distortions but I only end up using one or two that I have to cycle back and forth with and I don't like that I can't go back but that's a minor problem. Overall it's a good, solid pedal, but if you know what you like then you can get the individual stomps for the cost of this thing, that or save up and get a multi effects pedal like a Pod.

Seriously, this thing does it all for a great price. First of all, every setting sounds incredible. The sound clips on this page just don't do it justice. A few in particular really surprised me. The Muff Fuzz setting sounded better to me than the real thing! It had all the smoothness and tone of the original, minus the tracking problems I experienced with mine. Another great one was the Full-D setting. Again, very much like the real thing! Crisp and full of life! However, my absolute favorite model is the T-Scream, modeled after the Ibanez Tube Screamer. The original can very easily be pushed to a very harsh, gritty sound. While you can get that sound with this pedal, it is so easy to make it smooth and flavorful using the Attack Shape control!

Which brings me to my next point. The features on this pedal are unmatched. You've got Attack Shape AND Heavy Octave! Heavy Octave is pretty useless, but Attack Shape (Smooth/Edge) is something I have yet to find on any of the emulated pedals, and it is such a useful tool!

Also excellent is the build quality. Like a tank.

If you're in the market for a great overdrive pedal, this thing does it ALL! Literally! Boost, blues, classic rock, even metal, this product delivers. All for an incredibly low price!
