Great tone for the brutal player

I have owned this pedal for about 2 years now and can honestly say its the best pedal I have personally played. I used to own a Metal Zone pedal, and although the metal zone does have a more indepth EQ, The Metal Core has a much heavier tone. I can seem to get the right tone I need for my style (B Standard, Technical and Brutal Death Metal). I probably will stop using this pedal once I can get my hands on a nice hi-gain tube amp, but I will still hold on to it simply because I feel it can deliver what I need in case I need a back up tone of sorts.

If your planing on buying this add $20 dollars to what your gonna pay. After buying and using the product the first day it killed the battery. I thought maybe it was just a crappy stock battery but was wrong. the next two battery's I put died after a few hours of play time. So i had to go to a local music store and buy a power adapter which cost $20. Over all good product very functional and clean ... ect. but I'm very unhappy with the fact that it can live a day without a new battery.

just picked this pedal up at a music store. this is definatley the best distortion pedal ive ever used. it dosnt have a lot of knobs to adjust things but its simplicity is part of what makes it so nice. this pedal produces a really pristine metal tone, ive found that it sounds even better in combonation with the boss ge-7 equalizer, it really brings this thing to life, gets kind of a killswitch sound. overall its i great pedal and i would reccomend it.

I've had this pedal for almost two years and it's still churning out some of the heaviest tones I've ever heard. I'm a fan of and play anything from Avenged Sevenfold, The Doors, Bullet For My Valentine (who actually use this pedal I think...) and Hendrix and you can pretty much get any sort of distortion out of it as long as you play around with it. I'm a distortion junkie and after shows I've been told that the distortion is too much and you can't hear the actual notes but it all depends on how you adjust it. I got the distortion nob all the way up so, hey, find your own sound.
