Crafted with a solid spruce top, hand-carved braces, choice rosewood back and sides, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. The intricate pearl and abalone inlay work on the fingerboard, body, and headstock and delicate marquetry center strip on the back are touches of fine art. The comfortable 000-sized body and slim mahogany neck make it easy to play.

Contemporary Series Blueridge guitars offer prewar performance with a clean, modern look and style.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

This guitar is incredible value for money. I also have a BR-70 Dreadnought. I hope this all stays a secret and the prices remain low because for my money these are the best acoustic guitars you can buy. My mate who spent 5 times this on a Martin begruddingly agreed.

One Sweet Little Guitar!

I've been playing guitar for many years now and have owned mostly Gibson's and now a Rainsong. Then one day, while buying some new strings for my Rainsong, the Blueridge BR-73 caught my eye. After playing it for about and hour (I couldn't put it down) I had the shop owner hold it for me while I ran to the bank to get the money to buy it. That was a couple of years ago, when these babies cost a bit less, but even with the price increase, these guitars are the best buy on the market. I have played Taylors and Martins that I didn't like nearly as well, and even after putting a few dings on this baby, I still wouldn't trade it in for the most expensive Gibson, Taylor or Martin. I don't even play my Rainsong anymore, unless I need to plug in. So now I'm considering putting a pick up in my Blueridge Br-73 so I never have to play any other guitar again.

Eye catcher - Not an Ear catcher

I have owned this guitar a little over a year and I think it's fantastic. A year ago you could've bought it for about less than what it is now, and it was a steal. Now, this seems to be the right price range although you could find a better tone from Taylor or Martin in the price range. If you're looking for a eye-catcher with a decent tone. This is your best value. If you're looking for great tone and looks don't matter, buy a Taylor GA model - even a big baby has more resilience.

This is a fantastic guitar! I have played everything from the Jasmine to the Martins and this little Blueridge will play and sound as well or better than all of them. Just the other night I was sitting in with a band and after the set one of the band members asked about the guitar after he'd been playing an expensive McPherson all night. Its a wonderful piece of equipment that plays well on both ends of the fret board.

Can't beat it

I just received my Blueridge BR-73 in the mail today. For starters, I was expecting it to arrive early the following week, but it shipped quickly to my surprise. I love the quality and craftsmanship of this instrument. The inlays are beautiful and the contruction is flawless. Top notch! It is light as a feather, which I was looking for considering my other guitar is a jumbo and weighs significantly more. The sound is so crisp and full. The tones this guitar rings out are competitive with any top name guitar. I have owned and played Taylor guitars, and have many friends who own Martins and I say with full confidence that given the right set of strings (Elixir is my preference) this guitar will match if not out shine the intonation of any guitar. It is a great value and a beautiful instrument. You cannot go wrong. I can't wait until it opens up in a few years.
