Natural Case, Open

The BR-60 features a solid Sitka spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back, sides, and peghead overlay. Pre-war bracing delivers tone and volume just like vintage dreadnoughts. Low-profile, carved mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard. Beautiful touches like 5-ply body binding, multi-line rosette and backstrip, and mother-of-pearl dot inlays add to the classic look. Stable, nickel-plated Kluson-style tuners ensure proper pitch.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWI, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

I have been playing more than 50 years and I own 2 Martins, a D28 and a D16. I was looking for a lower priced guitar that would be in the same category as the Martins. I was surprised just how close the sound and quality of this instrument came. It's just right for what I got it for.

I have had my BR60 for 1 1/2 yrs now. This was my upgrade. I am so pleased this was the best move I could have made.I'm just starting out this is my third year playing and with no lessons. This guitar is so easy to play the neck is just the right size and the action is very smooth.I use the capo alot because I mostly play with 2 other guitars so I play alot down on the 5th and 7th frets and there is no buzzing or anything down that low.Thats saying alot because I only play rythm and I strum pretty hard sometimes.I play fender 60L strings which sound good but I think I'm going up to 70L to get more sound and get that bottom E string a touch heavier.I recommend the BR60 to anyone getting started or been playing for years. I took mine back to the music store the other week to get the neck adjusted because of the weather and the store owner played it like it should be played and it sounded awesom.

If I was given the choice between a new gibson or a new blueridge, I would choose the blueridge with no hesitation. Everything feels right with these guitars. Sometimes, out of the box, they need a little work with the setup (adjusting the saddle, or sanding some frets, etc.) but overall they guitars are wonderfully build and sound great.

I bought one in 1988 and still own it. I put a Fishman pickup under the saddle and used it on stage. This is by far my favorite accoustic. I own other more expensive guitars, but this one fits my hands and ears just right.

The inlay on the headstock is different than on my BR-60 but this one still the same great resonance and tone.

I have had a couple of Yamaha's and a very old Alvarez and was looking for something a little better. I played the Taylors, Martins and Breedloves at the local guitar stores but didn't really like the sound of the $500 to $1500 models. I read the reviews on the Blueridge and thought I would take a chance. I have been very pleased with this guitar. The tone and action is as good as any $1,000 guitar. What is especially nice is the tone when barring cords up the neck. It stays very clear.
