Natural Case, Open

Crafted with a select solid spruce top, hand-carved X-bracing, choice solid mahogany back and sides, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. Expertly applied tortoise binding adorns the body and soundhole. The intricate floral-design pearl and abalone inlay work on the headstock is a touch of fine art. Aged-tone finish completes the vintage look. The slim mahogany neck and comfortable 000-sized body make it a truly enjoyable guitar to play.

The Historic Series offers authentic vintage style with strict adherence to the spirit of prewar instruments from the materials used to the ornate inlay work.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

I buy the 243 two weeks ago and I now can tell that I'm very happy with it. Great action and great craftmanship; all in the process seem on the high level side. Only complain: the headstock is too narrow and this lends to a problem with the A string that touch the low E shaft before leading the nut. Anyway you can live with it, great guitar easy to play erally load and focused, lighter than a feather.

This is initial experience only. I just received this yesterday, and stayed up all night playing. Tone is pure vintage Martin. It sings man, right out of the box with no adjustments at all, its very playable. Flawless construction, beautifully matched woods, I mean gorgeous. The pictures look horrible compared to the real deal. The grain patters exactly matched to look like a single solid piece of wood was used, very beautiful spruce top with clear grain definition. The polyurethane finish is not my favorite, but should hold up long past when a laquer finish gives up.. and yes, the wood can still breathe on the inside of the guitar.

Seriously, I have played taylors, martins, and taks for steel strings, and this is the equal of any guitar I have every played. The price is just gravy, the guitar is seriously worth 3 times the price I paid. Just lovely in every respect. Now, to see if it holds up?? Only time will tell.

This guitar is fantastic. I knew it would sound good, I had been searching for a long while for the right guitar and was looking to spend more money, but this guitar is great. Better bass than I had expected from a guitar of this size...the mahogany is wonderful...smells good to.

Get it.

It has everything it should have for a lot less money than any of the guitars it sounds like. The head looks a whole lot better than most of the Blueridge guitars, less goddy but still classy. Has a very balanced sound with really defined bass. Puts out a lot of sound for the size but it sounds great played soft or played hard. My favorite guitar yet.
