Natural Natural, Back Case, Open

Crafted with a select solid spruce top, hand-carved X-bracing, choice solid mahogany back and sides, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. The intricate pearl and abalone inlay work on the headstock, fingerboard, and body and delicate marquetry center strip on the back are touches of fine art. Aged-tone finish completes the vintage look. The slim mahogany neck and comfortable 000-sized body make it a truly enjoyable guitar to play.

The Historic Series offers authentic vintage style with strict adherence to the spirit of prewar instruments from the materials used to the ornate inlay work.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

I had one of these a few years ago. Very well balanced and nice sounding guitar. I got lots of compliments on it. Not too trebly, not too bassy, very balanced---that was the thing that stood out most. It was also very loud. Build quality was great but I sold it when I bought a Gibson J-45. As much as I loved the Blueridge, I loved the Gibson more.

I purchased this guitar a couple of months ago and I can tell you it is one of the best quality acoustic guitars for the price. It does not quite match up to the very expensive Gibsons, but is right up there with them!

What we have here is a pre-war style Martin-esque 00-type guitar constructed of 100% solid woods, with a genuine bone nut and saddle. How much would you expect to pay for a US-made guitar with these specs? $1500+! Don't let the "Made in China" sticker scare you - this is a top-quality pro instrument with rich tone that covers a wide sonic spectrum, emphasizing the mids. Nice tinted vintage finish, and tastefully over-the-top headstock inlays. The small, shallow body is very comfortable, especially when sitting. Not as big sounding as a dreadnaught ('natch), but certainly not thin or wimpy AT ALL. Slender neck (reminds me of a Rickenbacker electric's) that may be a problem for some, but I love it. The stock set-up is medium-high, but fast even on the upper frets. My guitar has zero fret noise or rattles, even when strummed hard. The only negative is the pickguard, which tends to lift up at the edges. (Big deal.) A tremendous bargain!!!! Once you've played an all-solid-wood acoustic, there's no going back to laminates. Blueridge makes this luxury affordable to most guitarists without compromising quality.
