Crafted with a select solid spruce top, hand-carved X-bracing, choice solid mahogany back and sides, and a traditional dovetail neck joint for pure Golden Era tone. Fine black and white top purfling and the original abalone and pearl inlay work on the headstock are touches of fine art. Aged finish completes the vintage look. The slim mahogany neck and traditional dreadnought body make it a truly enjoyable guitar to play.

The Historic Series offers authentic vintage style with strict adherence to the spirit of prewar instruments from the materials used to the ornate inlay work.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.

I have purchased 5 Blueridge guitars and have given 3 away as gifts. I feel like I am giving the quality of a Martin yet all together I have only spent about what it would cost to by one Martin. All of the recipients are so excited to have such a great guitar. The action is perfect and the tone is better than my 1971 martin d-35.

I played martins that he had in the shop, as well as washburns, taylors, and guilds. None, I repeat none, of those other guitars come close to the deep bass tones and volume that this guitar produced. I kept going back to the blueridge. All my buddies often want to pass their guitars to me so that they can play my blueridge. The action is very low from the factory. This guitar however does not sound good with light strings. The only reason I gave it a 4 on quality is that I had to replace my tuning machines as one of them came apart. Other than that this is a great guitar that even a Martin can't beat.

I just purchased A Blue-Ridge BR 140 Mine is a custom model not available everywhere. The difference is, 1 3/4 nut width no orange aging toner or pick guard. This guitar plays and sounds as good or better than many Others costing three time the price! I have owned a Martin 00028 and an OM35 and the BR 140 compares favorably with these guitars. The only other guitar I have recently played that was nicer was an "Eric Clapton" 00028 that cost a lot more. Do yourself a favor and check out the Blue-Ridge line. When you get famous you'll be able to afford a boutique guitar, but I'll bet you still play the Blue-Ridge!

I needed a dreadnaught. I own an applegate, an olson, a goodall, a Martin 23 of 25 SGA, etc. This guitar weighs in with my Olson and my applegate and is better than all my others!. You are foolish not to buy this guitar before Blueridge finds out what it's really worth!

Wow. That is all I can say. I have been looking around for an acoustic with deep tones and high end goodness and this one jumped out at me right from the start. I was looking for and playing Martin's and Guild's but this one sounds and plays much better in my opinion without costing you an arm and a leg. I still want a Collings someday but this guitar will be with me for a long time.
