Best Vintage Practice and Recording Amp Ever Built

This is the best vintage practice and recording amp ever built. It has tube like tone, compression, and dynamic response. The speaker and enclosure is well matched giving a sparkly vintage vibe, and the clean sounds like a lot of recordings you have heard. It is a practical amp to use at home because you don't have to turn it up to performance levels to get good tone. That little 8 inch speaker sounds like a 2x12 or 2x10 (actually better at low volumes) and is full sounding ... vintage tone at practice and recording levels.

Don't audition this amp in a noisy music store. Audition it in the lesson room or the back room lounge, where you can hear what it will sound like in your own home.

Do yourself a favor and try it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great practice and studio amp

The Behringer Firebird GX108 Practice Combo is a cool retro-looking little amp with great sound. It's well-built and puts out a ton of sound for such a small unit. The 3-band EQ allows for good tonal shaping, and the gain control adds some definite kick. I needed something smaller to haul around than my big honkin' Fender amp, and I can still run all my effects loop through this little guy, so not having reverb is no big deal. For 50 bucks you can't beat it, so buy this amp!

Simply Sweet

I continue to be amazed at the quality you can get these days for a small amount of cash. No doubt we owe a thank you to our Asian friends who don't demand high pay. Just picked up this little baby and mated it as a remote to its big brother, a Marshall AVT50. The two sound simply lovely as a stereo pair. Highly recommended. The gain section has plenty of tonal range from mild distortion up to decent metal. Treble, Bass and Midrange controls handle the rest. Excellent loudness from a small amp. A fine little amp for a starting guitarist and an equally fine smaller amp for a 30 year player. Do it!

Wasn't looking to spend much. Just to take along on camping trips and messing around at small party's. All was impressed with the sound it brought out, and been very satisfied with this amp. It handles my Washburn MG200 with no problem.
