The Basson B212 Guitar Cabinet produces as much volume as many 4-12" half stacks. It shares the 150-watt power rating of many 4-12" cabinets, but the difference is in the box. The enclosure's joints and speakers are silicone sealed to obtain consistent air volume. This creates an air spring that the speakers respond to with less distortion at high volume levels. With other cabs "woofing" is caused by distorted low end, which is inevitable for unsealed or open-back cabinets (the speaker travels too far when driven). Consequently, clear mids and clean highs cannot be produced while the speaker is struggling. Basson Sound has solved that problem. 5/8" MDF is used for subtle resonant qualities that minimize sound coloration.

The box is powerful without sacrificing any frequency response. In fact, it has more bottom end and top end than anything else I've heard marketed as a guitar cabinet. I'm tempted to hook it up to my bass amp BUT I'd worry that I'd ruin it : )

What's really nice is that I can get detuned bliss out of it and still hear all the pinch harmonics the really fine stuff. I even started to notice that my bracelet makes noise on the strings (something that my old Mesa cab didn't project).

I run my spider valve hd100 head through one of these and it sounds amazing... I was nervous at first paying a higher price for something I had never tried or heard anyone else play. But once I plugged in I was 100% satisfied. I got the straight black cab and it looks amazing. I also stack it on my 4x12 and it ads soooo much more to it. I am very happy with mine. Two of my friends also tried it out, one running a Peavey 5150, and the other one running a Marshall JCM2000 through it. Now they both want one haha. If your thinking about getting one.. Do it.

I have been using the Basson 2X12 angled front cab for about a month now, and loving it. The sound is tight, focused, and LOUD. I play lead and rhythm guitar in a hard rock/metal band. I am using the cab with the Carvin V3 head, and the combination rocks. The workmanship on the cab is excellent - everything fits together and looks good. I had a slight problem with one caster, and a quick email to the factory later, I had a new caster, no questions asked. The cab has a small footprint on stage (which is one reason I wanted it), although for its size, it is heavy. That's because it is built like a tank (it is still a bit lighter and easier to handle than a 4X12 cab). Highly recommended.

This puppy is awesome. The frequency response is heaven. I like my signal to be clean as a whistle and this cabinet responds so well. There is no muddiness. The highs are crystal and the lows, tight and boomy. No matter what preamp I use, the 2X12 does the job beautifully. Oh, yeah, it's built like a tank.
