Just got this the other day in the mail. This pedal is the REAL DEAL! I plugged my bass into it (Schecter Stilleto Custom into a MARKBASS CMD 121 combo amp, my practice amp) and instantly heard the difference. I suggest putting the volume at around 8, and turning the Bias knob to zero, pluck your string and turn the bias knob up slowly, you can hear the compressor doing its job. Built like a tank, sturdy inputs, and very easy to use. I WAS using the Aphex Punch Factory until its plastic input jacks broke and it just died, but BBE changed my mind!

As soon as I plugged this in it took an immense amount of warmth from my sound. After playing around with it for about an hour I could no longer stand the excessive hum it created when it was activated. To be fair when it is disabled the true bypass worked as it should have. If you are willing to give up your tone for more sustain and smoother volume levels then this is your pedal!
