The B-52 LS-100 Guitar Amp Head represents the latest in the ever expanding line of highly acclaimed B-52 guitar amps. Friendly features combined with the latest advancements in preamp technology makes the LS-100 amp head an outstanding choice for the professional player and the weekend warrior. The clean channel now has the exclusive B-52 "Mid Cut" feature. This push-button allows you to select the classic, warm vintage sound or a pristine, almost acoustic-like tone with tons of headroom. The overdrive channels go from moderate classic breakup to monstrous gain, totally controllable thanks to the individual gain and master controls for each overdrive mode. The overdrive channels now feature the new, B-52 assignable Contour control. This allows you to preset the Contour control and have it automatically activate on the gain channel of your choice. You can set one overdrive channel for a punchy midrange tone with the Contour off and turn the Contour on the other overdrive channel for a massive, totally scooped out metal tone.

Whether you are playing to a stadium crowd of 50,000 or practicing at home in your garage, the LS-100 will produce awesome crunch, smooth mids and crystal-clean highs. It is also capable of producing massive amounts of distortion, perfect for any style from blues to metal.

I got this amp a few days ago, I already love it, and know that it was the right buy. The amp has an amazing British tone that seems to sound good played with any king of distortion-requiring rock. It is not a tube amp, but with how this thing sounds, I couldn't care less. It doesn't have a standby switch, just a power, but this thing sounds amazing. I haven't taken it anywhere yet so I am not sure of how durable the thing is, but it sounds amazing. For the small amount you pay, you get professional amazing quality. This is the best buy on Musicians Friend for how good of a deal it is.

You really can't beat this amp for the price. It's loud, it's raw, and it's built like a tank. The gain setting on the amp are good, and there is a lot of versatility with the 2 different types of gain you can have. The reverb is nice and splashy, and sounds very good with the clean setting. As for the clean setting, its awesome. It's perfect for pedal use. It's heavy, of course, but comes with rollers (which can be taken off!). It's a very simple and straightforward amp, no crappy effects, nothing special, just plain ease to use.

I was in the market for a half stack for quite some time. I tried everything from the Line 6 Spider Valve to the Peavey ValveKing. Nothing quite suited me it seemed. Then I saw the LS100. I plugged it up and right away I loved it. I'm a pedalboard guy, but I was able to find a quite decent sound from the onboard distortion right away. Oh, and the thing is built like a tank. It got kicked pretty hard once, and I swear the thing would've laughed if it could :P The chug this thing puts out is just unreal. I shopped the market, and for me this thing was my dream at about a quarter of the price I was going to spend.

I just picked this amp up yesterday and already it has really impressed me. The amp overall delievers amazing tone on both the clean and overdrive channels and packs a complete punch. I only had to turn up a little past 3 in order to be able to match the rest of my bandmates when playing with them. I would highly recommend this amp to anyone who plays heavy music, or other styles of music as well. If your looking for a solid state amp that delievers alot of crunch but doesnt become muddy when turned up this is your one. For the price it can't be beat.

I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago looking for a good concert worthy amp on a tight budget. This one sounded nice in the store so I bought it, and I was not disappointed. If you are looking for a good solid state amp under 1000 dollars than this is the amp. When I started jamming I honestly checked to make sure it was solid state.
