For the price of this amp- it has to be the best in its class- hands down. Remember- speaker cabinets make a huge difference on what it will sound like- the b-52 cabs were made for this and sound real nice- I use e** c**** custom built 2x12s and it sounds Phenomenal! the reverb and clean channel is warm- and you can dial in a bunch of different tones and distortions- also remember- tube amps need to push the speaker to get that tube crunch! period! When I first got this amp-I wasn't sure how to tweak it- with a noise gate/ and boosting either the gains per channel or the main volume while keeping the other lower- it does the trick. these are known as the poor mans mesa boogie- and I cant argue with that- although- id easily get two of these instead of one of those. this amp runs hot. ive had it for 2 years now and its still going strong without issue- ill change the tubes in another year or two- using it live about 3 times a month on average. for small gigs I use another amp as this one is a bit much for those. But if I wanted the best sound even at a small gig- I will bring the B-52. I cannot agree with those that say this is cheaply made- I does not look nor feel that way to me. and sounds great- TY MF and B-52

It does not sound like a marshall or mesa, but it does not have the price of them either. Is not a bad amp at all. I used in live performance indoors and outdoors with a 1960 marshall cab and works well. I like it, in addition three mode rectifier and great footswitch make it so versatile.

I bought this amp from a friend to finally have a tube head. If you're coming from playing badly made solid state heads, this head will sound beautiful when you first get it. After while you'll realize that this is not exactly the best sounding head. It's good if you are first upgrading to tube heads but if not just save a couple hundred dollars because it'll definitely be worth it. This is also a very noisy head, if you do decide to buy it you're going to want to buy a noise gate of some sort.

This is the biggest bang for the buck you can get. The clean channel is sweet as are the two overdrive channels. Love the foot switch capabilities. I too have played through the best from Fenders to West Filmores. I'll keep my B-52 for many years to come and enjoy it. As far as troubles, none so far, though I have had troubles with more expensive amps too, it can happen, but so far so good. Enjoy your B-52 AT-100, I am...

Alright guys lets get real about this amp (and B52). It dosn't sound "that" great. It dosen't compare with "Fender, Peavey, Marshall, Or Mesa!" It Is NOT made in the USA, like they lead you to believe(trust me, I've researched this company thourougly) Therefore it is not a great deal like many of you beleive. Save your money, buy the real thing (the one you really want)! It will be worth the wait . And don't support cheap foreign crap just 'cause it's affordable now! There's alot behind a namebrand and thats the truth.
