Onyx

This dynamic guitar includes the B.C. Rich trademark widow headstock. Also featured is a bolt on maple neck, two humbucker pickups, Chrome hardware, master volume, master tone and three way toggle.

Bolt-on Construction
The VG1 Virgin guitar uses a classic Bolt-on construction. The maple neck is bolted on with 4 screws to the body. This construction offers some added flexibility in the instruments adjustment and provides the option to change the neck in the future.

B.C. Rich BDSM Pickups
B.C. Rich designed their BDSM humbucking pickups to provide a solid sound and to be durable while delivering high output. BDSM stands for Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched. That simply means the pickup is designed to reproduce a wide range of frequencies accurately (broad dynamic). Then they are tested and matched in pairs (Neck and Bridge) by their inherent individual and signature tonal and output characteristics to give a solidly balanced tone (sonically matched).

Beveled Top
The Virgin electric guitar employs a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways, bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look.

I got this guitar for Christmas and have been jamming on it ever since. Its amazing, I play it through a transtube 212 efx, and it cranks. Some fret buzz, but overall beautiful. I reccomend this to anyone who wants a good heavy metal guitar, that looks nice, and plays even better.

I bought this guitar from a local guitar shop two years ago and I have no real complaints. The only difference between the model listed here and mine is that mine is the Platinum Series. I run mine through my Crate G1600 XL head and Randall Warhead cab and it thunders. Playing it in dropped C tuning it really handles with no buzzing or rattling. I lowered my actions to my liking when I first bought it and never had any problems. I run it clean and distorted through my Electro Harmonix Metal muff as well as a DigiTech GNX3000. I have done recordings with it witout a problem and just love this guitar. To cut back on the squeal I put some D'Addario XL Chromes flat wounds on it. Sustain is unbelievable and is just overall an awesome guitar. It is a little neck heavy but I got used to it quick and the neck is awesome for speed. It is better than most Jackson's and Ibanez's I have played.

I got this guitar and although it has plenty of low end the bridge was set way to high and when you lower the action of the strings a few frets are higher then the others. This causes unwanted buzz and wrong notes often. Overall this guitar is ok but not a must have.

The guitar is nice, good for beginners. The tone is the best the only thing I would change is the bridge, its a little high but otherwise its nice. I started playing about 4 years ago and this is probably the second best out four guitars. so I guess thats a three out of four.

this guitar is GREAT!!!! sure it may not be a fender or gibson but the sound is METAL, it picks up lows alot beter than my strat, pluss the strings are set a little farther apart so its easier to hit the ones i want, sounds great even through my busted fender frontman. the price is low but the quality is great, and alot more comfortable to play than the warlock. if you buy then replace the strings emediatly they are to thin even for standard (in my opinion).
