Super Guitar, Super Value

I bought one of these used a few months ago, the guy dosn't know how old it was, cause he got it from someone else. My guess, 1990s. Anyways, I don't think these guitars have changed much since. Back to the point, this guitar is by far the best sounding guitar I've ever played. Plays great too. And I've had I think 7 electric guitars before this one, including US Fender and Gibson LP, Epiphone, Yamaha, etc. and I've been playing electric for about 18 years. The sustain is incredible! Undescribable, really. I think that's what sells these things. The pickups are great, they have a unique tone about them. I can get very close to some GnR/VR sounds. Doesnt sound like a stock Gibson. Craftsmanship is first rate. You get a lot more than you would from Gibson at this price. If my Mockingbird were lost/destroyed I'd get a new one in a heartbeat. The top strap peg was moved on my guitar to better balance the guitar, its heavy, heavier than a LP. I do hear some pesky buzz when the actions low (stuff happens), but when the amp's cranked, I don't hear a thing. Its a fine instrument, I highly recommend it. BTW Slash has been using Mockingbirds for decades, still does.

More than a piece of art.

I just got this guitar for Christmas, and I love it. The finish is absolutely beautiful on mine. I have an all natural version that doesn't appear on this sight, but the pictures here do this guitar no justice. Check the ones on the B.C.RICH website, they start to come close.

I own a Gibson Les Paul Studio, as my main guitar, but this may be replacing it. The pickups have a very different sound that has a more mellow tone, which isn't to say this pickups don't scream when you want them too. They balance out the guitar nicely, and let you play pretty much any style with some adjustments to your tone control. Blues, Jazz, Modern Rock, Metal - its all in one package here.

There is a review that says the neck will dip away from you when you take your hand off it.. I don't have this issue so Im not sure if its how I hold my guitar or what. The weight of this instrument is comparable to my studio, Not light but not back breaking; A few days practicing will allow you to adjust to the weight if you use guitars.

(minor) Cons - Strap connector thingy is in an odd place, Stock strings suck (duh..). Mine has some minor issues with action and intonation because I drop the tunning way down, but for standard e/drop d the setup was perfect. A few minutes tinkering will fix everything.

Buy it, you wont find a better Piece of functional, beautiful art.

I recently purchased the blue quilt mockingbird. In the pictures it looks awesome. When I took it out of the box it looked nothing like the picture. It was VERY dark and to see the quilt you had to look at it just right. The finish was excellent the color was YUK!! I did set it up, intonate it, etc. and it played and sounded like a million bucks. I kept it for a week thinking it would grow on me but everyone that saw it went YUK, send it back....so I did.

This guitar looks cool and plays awesome. One big problem. Cant stand guitars that require the neck to be held up when strapped on. You have to keep this thing in the air with your left hand as youre playing or the neck will fall and its annoying. Gonna trade mine in.

Better than a strat

I own this guitar in natural mahogony and it hasnt had one problem yet. Me and my friend who owns a mex fat strat played thru the same amp with each others guitars and he had to admit that my guitar had a better feel and sustain. Plus this is neck thru and has 24 very excessible frets, where a strat has bolt on and only 20 frets.

this guitar rocks
