Satin Red

The SE Jr. V I.T.electric guitar from B.C. Rich uses the innovative Invisibolt Technology in its neck attachment. The new I.T. system is not neck-through, bolt-on, or traditional fixed heel construction. Instead, the neck is bolted inside the body. It is visually striking, adds sustain, and gives a very low profile to the neck heel. It is used on this SE Jr. V along with a host of other great features: widow headstock, ebony fingerboard, and Tune-o-matic-style bridge with string-thru-body design.

B.C. Rich Jr. V I.T. Electric Guitar Features:

  • Nato body
  • Hard maple neck
  • I.T. neck construction
  • Ebony fingerboard

  • Special WHS-style inlay at 7th fret
  • Black hardware
  • Sealed die-cast BCR tuners

I got a hold of this guitar with the intentions of replacing the stock pickups, With EMGS, Or BlackOuts. But, I have a Line6 HD147 Stack and I hooked this thing up threw it and it about blew my doors right off. Just the feel of this guitar alone, and the fact that the neck is set up like a neck thru guitar, the design on the back of this guitar will floor you. I don't know why they don't show it. The bottom of the neck is shaped like the Widow headstock, And connects to the body in a very unique fashion. None the less for the money, This guitar RIPS ...

Great Guitar, so so pickups

I've had it now for 2 weeks, but after 3 days I ordered new pickups. For me, changing strings most often helps a bit with stock pickups (these are supposedly better than typical Rich stock, but they still were pretty blah) but the string change didn't help.

A few days later, I was rewarded with a box containing a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker and an SH-1 59' for the neck. Night and friggin day. I absolutely love the guitar now. I've always loved BC Rich necks. This thing sounds insane for metal now and the neck pup blends in for cleans and what not and completely gives me the freedom to use this for everything from Metal to Blues.

The guitar balances very well, is pretty light for it's size and to me is the perfect V. I love the Invisibolt neck. We'll see how well it holds up. The Ebony fretboard is nice and my neck was pretty impressive for such a low cost instrument. The only beef with it is the tuners are not all that great. Not sure what the ratio is, but I don't like them. I'll be swapping them out for Sperzel locking soon. Then it will be perfect for me.

So, really, the guitar is great as it comes factory for a begginer or pure metal player, but anyone that has been playing for a while (20 years for me) and has had decent instruments will instantly go to the upgrades they prefer. I do this with all my guitars. I buy for the body and neck and replace the guts.

I like the clean sound on this v but when the distortion of my line 6 turns on then the true meaning of Metal shows. I use a dime crybaby and it sounds like god through these bc rich hummbuckers.

Worth it's price but could use a better sound

I really go for crunch in my guitar sound and it could possibly be my amp but I was hoping that this guitar would punch out a better sound. Don't get me wrong though, these pick-upz are sweet and good for all sorts of Metal but I was really expecting something a lot more crunchier. I don't know if it's just my guitar but the tone knob became loose after the first week and the nuts for the jack are starting to come off too. I had to use super glue to keep them together. If you can deal with the minor flaws it has with the setup then this guitar is great. The neck is real smooth and feels good on the hands. I recommend this guitar for anyone, especially Metal guitarists.

This was the first V guitar I ever bought and once I got use to the body shape I loved it. Sounds nice for hard rock or metal. Once I got it and changed the factory strings it was pure love. Love the look, love the feel, and most of all love the sound.
