Brown Crackle Black Off White Crackle Brown/White Crackle Blue, Back Brown, Back

The AXL Badwater SRO Electric Guitar has a light-weight double-cutaway alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The guitar's deep recessed neck joint offers superior access to the upper register. This unusual AXL guitar is equipped with EMG-designed pickups for hard rocking tones and clean delivery. An anodized tremolo invites your dive-bombing pleasure.

With a distressed body and antiqued hardware, AXL Badwater Series guitars have the look and feel of ancient artifacts. Even the headstock and backplate have vintage distressing. No area was spared the treatment. The Badwater Series has received Guitar World's December 2007 Gold Award for overall value.

The crackle brown and white body finish has a reptilian texture throughout. The off-white finish has a rusted, phantom-like appearance. The brown finish AXL guitar has the look of a museum-quality guitar stored away for decades. The crackle blue finish looks like it was pulled from deep on the ocean floor. The crackle black finish evokes the texture of a guitar blackened and burned by lightning.

Having had this guitar for about 4 months, I would say that I am rather satisfied with it. It is my second electric (I used it to upgrade from an unknown Noteworthy) and it looks and sounds great. The only problem I had upon arrival was a crackly volume pot that quickly sorted itself out. I also raised the two coils and lowered the humbucker slightly so as to achieve greater volume parity. Like I said, it sounds and plays very very nicely. The only sore spots are the miserable tuners. Working up, by the time you've finished tuning the B and the high E, the lower strings have gone out of tune again. I can never seem to make the bottom two strings sync up. One tuning peg sticks like mad and another needs an entire turn to change the pitch even slightly. Oh, they're terrible. But the guitar is awesome and I'm not much a stickler for tuning, anyway. I'd buy it again.

I originally got this guitar because of the looks, and the whammy. The whammy bar is decent, but mine came with a lot of fret buzz around the 10th fret. I like the pickups; They give it an old skool "twang" kinda sound! :D

This is a great guitar! I just played it the last 2 weeks and love the sound and playability. Of course I had to set her up how I like. I am a Fender guy but will be having fun with this axe for awhile. The look is great, I got the off white and have nothing but compliments on its unique look.

i bought this guitar in the white finish for one reason. It looked cool and it does look cool but i always finding myself picking up my older guitars. I ended up loving the emgs on this guitar so much that i put the bidge pickup in my ibanez. my axl always goes out of tune within 15 minutes of playing and the guitar feels like its going to fall apart when i play it. i wouldn't recomend this guitar to someone who is a serious player. I would however buy this guitar again just for the pickups
