Wasn't expecting much at this price, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's really quiet (i.e. no squeals & such) and it provides a nice crunchy overdrive someplace between classic OD & Metal. I'd say it's perfect niche would be classic rock.

I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the studio, and if I were gigging I'd use one (though I'd have a backup)

At this price, I'd say everybody ought to have two, either to run in series or for some cool stereo stuff. It may or may not be you main overdrive pedal, but it's got a certain uniqueness that should give it a home in any setup, ESPECIALLY at this price. I mean, at this price it's worth it if you use it for just one song, for cryin' out loud...

This stomp box sounds like the overdrive you get from a tube amp with a tube rectifier, it's a bit softer and spongier than other overdrives, no other overdrive pedal can do this and this makes it unique and somewhat special. Not a Metal pedal. Note: Batteries need replacing, when they die so does the overdrive, get a power supply.

It was good when I first started, but after I compared it to real overdrive, it sounded like a bar against sheet metal. Just scratchy and cheap.

this pedal was awsome at first, even came with a battery in side, but after a 6 months or so the distortion has weakened. now it has hardly any distortion at all

I'm a professional musician who's been playing guitar for 6 years. Yeah... I feel old when I type that. My christian metal band, SAVE-YOUR, plays frequent clubs, and I would be lost without this pedal. I was going to buy the boss distortion pedal, but after talking with the band, we decided to spend the money on 9 Tubulator Pedals. I use them all on my custom pedalboard at once, and use an arion line selector to turn them all on at the touch of a button. I get at least one person after every gig who comes up and compliments my monster tone.

So, this pedal is sweet.... IF YOU HAVE NINE
