I've owned this guitar for some years now, it has been dragged around, drop kicked, beat up and wet a number of times (Beer, water etc..). It plays just fine, the action is good and it stays in tune. It's sound for it's size is a seller!

I've had this little guy for a couple of years now. It's my outside/travel acoustic and I've been very happy with it. Unlike a previous reviewer I had no problem with the strings or set up right out of the box. IMHO you can't go wrong here in using it for either travel or as a junior.

Just got my AA13 and I'm totally impressed. Not sure which guitar some of ya'll were playing but this one is LOUD, almost as loud as my full size Yamaha Dread. Action is nice, intonation is spot on, fit and finish is great. Tuners, while not being sealed units, do keep in tune very well. I'm very happy with my AA13 and when I get the funds I"ll probably get a AA21 full size to go with it. Great Job Applause.

Just got it and it's nice. Has a nice action, sounds great for a 3/4, a lot louder then I expected, almost as loud as my full size Yamaha. Intonation is right on, Ruby Red finish is flawless, binding is nice, over all it's an excellent guitar. Tuners aren't sealed like Grovers but you'd not expect it on a guitar in this price point. Makes me want to order a full size AA21 to go with it, if only MF would get em' in Ruby Red(hint, hint.) If you want a great little take along guitar that's pretty much weatherproof and at a great price this is the one you want.

I bought this little guitar thinking it would be a very good fit for a 10 year old newbie guitarist. I was right about the fit. Unfortunately, the quality is poor. This guitar arrived with very high action and cheap, loose tuners that will not hold tune. I replaced the stock saddle with a lower one that is just a hair taller than the bridge, but the action is still too high because the bridge is too thick! I've filed the nut, as well, and I'll sand the bridge and replace the tuners, but come on Ovation, NO ONE should have to go through so much trouble and extra expense to make a brand new guitar playable! I don't recommend this guitar unless the buyer is handy with guitar repair and modification, and is willing to spend additional money to replace the tuners. On another note, you can barely hear this guitar; it is THAT quiet, and would benefit from amplification. If you want an inexpensive guitar, consider one of the Epiphone models, unless you must have a 3/4 size.
