The neck on these things are a nightmare. If you play your guitar in one place like your home then its fine, but if your like me and like to take your guitar everywhere then don't buy it. I had a cheapy washburn that I dropped countless numbers of times and had for many years and never once had a problem with the neck warping. I had the alvarez for 2 months before the neck started warping

I've played this model of Alverez quite a bit, my sister usually leaves hers during the holidays and I'm truly envious of it. She bought it 4 years ago and it has held up quite well considering she's pretty rough on it. One of the tuning pegs did buzz when she first bought it but the store took care of that. It has a great tone, even with flat/dead strings on it, honestly its sound is comparable with my friends Martin that is 4-Digit price range. The action on it might be a little high if you're a beginner. Definitely snag one of these babies if you want Alvarez quality on a budget!

I bought this from a local music shop in my town, and as soon as I got home, it was ready to play. Great sound, bought this three years ago but it's still amazing, and I will probably own this forever. Amazing guitar for the price.

I can't say enough about this guitar to ever do it justice. The title says it all as "worth 3 times the price". This is the second one I've owned, decided I liked the black one better so sold the sunburst to a trusted friend. Get those Elixir strings off of it and replace them with your favorite brand and you're off and running!! I prefer Martins or D'Addarios, but you make your choice and you'll NEVER want to put it down, trust me!

I picked up this guitar at a local shop while I was looking around for a dobro, and I bought it on the spot. You might call that an impulse buy, but... eh. I love this guitar to death and I've owned it for over half a year now. The volume, quality, and clarity of tone for the price is absolutely astounding. Made in China, but not by know-nothing jack offs. This is a quality instrument.

I gave features a 2.5, because it is sort of plain. No electronics, cutaway, special locking tuners or anything. Just the plain kind of awesome. Go find one and play one at your local shop, and you will be amazed. Your ears won't believe the price tag. It will be... eargasmic.

My only complaint would be that sometimes, when really getting into a chord progression, when you start to feel like you are abusing your strings you're strumming so hard, the sound can be kind of muddy, but I changed the strings out for some John Pearse 80/20s and this hasn't bothered me since. By the way, if you haven't tried John Pearse strings, go buy some right now. You will never screw around with $15 elixirs or any gimmicky crap like that again.
