I purchased this guitar about two months ago and absolutely love it. The sounds is bright. I love the appearance of this guitar. Def eye catcher. Just canged my strings to Elixirs nano lights and really made a great difference. A great guitar for the price. Played as well and sounded as well as guitars that cost 3-4 times as much. Alvarez really makes some great guitars that are reasonably priced.

The store i went to had it sitting on a stand from someone playing it earlier. The sunburst caught my attention right away. It was the AD8OSSB made by alvarez. I never heard of the company before so i was expecting it to play pretty crappy. It's quite the opposite. The neck is very thin like an electric guitar so you dont have to do crazy stretches. The tone itself was was solid but just a little twang in it. The sound is very loud so you dont have to put all your energy into getting people to hear it. For such unique playability, and very unique sound at a low price, its deffinatly worth having.

I purchased this guitar about 4 years ago when I first started getting into acoustic music. I figured I would just get it as a good quality "starter" guitar and eventually move on to bigger and "better" acoustics. I have played this guitar every day since then and can not believe how much I love it. I have scrapped the idea of getting a new acoustic as I cannot imagine another guitar living up to this one. I'm currently in the process of finding the right pickup for it (it's too bad it's not also electric, hence the 9 for features). The finish is beautiful, the satin neck is so comfortable and the sound is pure and true. BEST VALUE OUT THERE!!!! (try it with elixer polyweb strings, great tone!)

FANTASTIC!!

I new I wanted a sunburst guitar. I also knew I wanted a guitar that had better playability then my existing guitar. I checked up on the guitar it's self in terms of what it's made out of etc and found this guitar is VERY inexpensive compared to other guitars made with similar woods from other manufacturers that were hundreds more. The guitars sound is very bright. The action on the guitar couldn’t be better. You could play lead or rhythm on this guitar with no problem. I couldn’t be happier with my Alvarez...Got it at Christmas and I'm fired up every time I pick it up or even just look at it....what a finish!!

This was my first guitar of any...

This was my first guitar of any quality, and I selected it after playing everything I could get my hands on. Nothing else I've played, even a good friend's seventies Gibson SG Deluxe, is quite so smooth and responsive as this guitar. It also has a very nice, deep, voice. If you want something light and happy sounding, this is not the guitar for you. But for a smooth and sad acoustic sound, nothing under the thousand dollar mark beats it.
