This Limited Edition Epiphone G-400 Electric Guitar may nail the look and feel of the original '62 SG, but with its array of EMG pickups it delivers thoroughly modern tones. Fitted to the solid mahogany body is an EMG 81 pickup at the bridge and an EMG 85 at the neck, the exact array used by rockers like Zakk Wylde. Separate volume and tone controls for each of the high-output humbuckers give you complete control of your sound. The set, slim-taper mahogany neck has a rosewood freboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. The deep double-cutaway lets you reach all 22 frets with ease.

  • Slim-taper neck profile

I bought this for the pick-ups and I'm not really into the whole gibson style thing. I'm more of an Ibanez type guy. I own a Ibanez rg with a new sustainer system but with weak pickups it plays great and everything but with this guitar it took things a whole other level. The clean sound the emg's put out put my ibanez to shame as far as tone. When I played comfortably numb I sounded just like David Gilmour when I played Bodom beach terror it was just as clean. It was amazing. But I still missed my sustainer and whammy bar. Otherwise this was a great chose.

Well I own a couple guitars some better than others, I own a 1989 westone corsair, but this thing is a BEAST! Its easaly one of the highest output guitars I have with the active emg pickups, the only downside to this guitar is that it takes a little bit of adjusting to make the action playable a couple turns of the truss rod and lowering the bridge did the trick with very minor fret buzz! Overall this guitar kicks butt for the price but the finish really stands out! its like heaven with HORNS!

Good guitar. Sounds great! The only problem is that the neck weighs more than the body, which the headstock touch the ground if you take your hands off it. Other than that, overall a great guitar!

This guitar is probably the best guitar you can get for it's money. I play rythm in a band that covers a lot of mcr songs, and playing this in gigs is amazing, not because it looks sweet, but also because its very easy to play standing up

I owned this guitar for about a year before selling it. It has some nice features and was at a fair price for what you get but I wasn't too happy with the quality. The paint was cracked in about 5 different areas of the guitar. Especially by the bridge and in corners. I also had bad fret buzz and several dead frets. The guitar looked very nice and played fairly well after being repaired. It's not bad for the price but just be careful before purchasing.
