I have had this amp for about 5 years now. Never had any major problems with it except the battery dies fairly quick. Pretty loud for the size. I plug my digitech death metal pedal into in and keep the volume pretty reasonable so not to fry the speaker. Works fine for me. I also own a Line 6 spider IV 15w amp and a peavy 75w amp. this little one does great for practicing when those are just too much :)

I got this amp yesterday from musician friend.I really like it.It has a really sweet sound to it (guess thats why they call it HONEY TONE)I think some of the bad reviews of this amp is because people buy it and think its gonna sound like a wall of Amps.Its not, but for what it is its cool.If you want you could blow the speaker the first day you get it.Me,I take care of my stuff and i will have this amp for years.

First off, read the little booklet of tones that comes with this amp. There are some very useable ones. Now, this amp, despite its size, is pretty loud, and with the belt clip is very good for mobile playing, especially if marching in a parade,etc. It provides a wide range of useable tones, Dirty and Clean.

this mini amp's sound nice for the first couple days and is pretty loud for its size, but in two days that i had it the tone of the amp started to get muddy and distorted. and if you do buy this amp DO NOT use a 9v plug-in power supply because you'll fry the amp in a few seconds. the pots are also very cheap. all of the danelectro equipment that i have used usually breaks in a day or two so your better off buying a different amp such as a marshal mini amp

I bought this unit knowing that for the low price I was paying for it, it wasn't going to be that great. The first thing I noticed when I got this amp was that the tone quality was pretty disappointing, whether it was clean or distorted. After owning this unit for less than three weeks, the speaker died on me, leaving it only usable as a headphone amp. I have many friends who also own this amp, however, whose speakers are still working just fine, so I guess mine was a fluke. That said, I still wouldn't recommend this amp to anyone unless all you need is amplification. If all you care about is being able to practice and you don't mind a very cheap sounding tone (and you know a thing or two about hardware maintenance), then this is a very economic purchase. Otherwise, put in a little bit more money for a better amp and you'll be much better off.
