A Gibson Custom guitar that combines the best features found in the Firebird models.

The original Gibson Non-reverse Firebirds were produced from 1966 1969 and featured a headstock with banjo styled tuners on the bass side, and a body having the bass side horn slightly longer than the treble side horn. This body style was less radical than earlier Firebird models and provided greater access to the neck, which had a fast slim-taper '60s profile giving this instrument extraordinary playability. The Gibson Firebird Non-Reverse has a 24½ scale body made of solid mahogany and a 1-piece mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Other amenities include dot inlays, gold hardware, and an ABR-1 fixed bridge and stop tailpiece.

This model has electronics similar in style to the Firebird VII (originally introduced in 1963), and is fitted with 3 Gibson mini-humbucking pickups, which produce a clearer, brighter tone that sits between the sound of single coil pickups and full-sized humbuckers in the tonal spectrum. It also has a standard glued-in ("set") neck with a long tenon joint, rather than the original neck-through construction used in original reversed Firebirds. Includes hardshell case, Certificate Of Authenticity, and Custom Care Kit.

This is an amazing guitar! It looks amazing, sounds amazing, and plays great! The only negative aspect to this guitar is that I have a problem keeping it in tune. Now, you have to consider the fact that Firebirds are not for everybody. These are very unique feeling guitars... you almost have to wrestle the guitar into submission! But once you tame it, there is nothing like it!

I own the 2003 model and it is a very nice guitar. The neck is like a baseball bat which I like. Honestly is a great guitar by something about it just doesn't really please me and i think its the tone. I'm used to a nice les paul tone and when i have this its like a mix of a paul and strat. i don't tend to use it much but im sure down the line i'll pick it up. overall its a great guitar and i recommend buying it

The Gibson Firebird Non-Reverse with 3 Mini Humbuckers is the perfect guitar! If you want a great guitar get this one. It looks amazing,it plays amazing, and sounds amazing through any amp.I couldn't beleive my eyes when I opened up the case(the picture doesn't do this guitar much justice). The mini humbuckers are much better than I thought they would be. The only problem I have with this guitar is that your pick sometimes hits the middle pickup but I am happy to live with that for this guitar.

This is the best guitar I have ever played. The finish was amazing and it looked great right out of the box. It is so easy to play and the mini humbuckers are mind blowing! This guitar never gets out of tune and it is perfect for any guitarist. Any one who plays guitar should get this one!
