The BBE Wah Pedal is based on a 1967 Class A circuit design that featured a unique Halo inductor which is essential to its vocal-like qualities. Players and collectors who search for vintage wah effect pedals pay a premium for these rare examples. BBE has re-engineered and custom-tuned the Halo inductor to re-create the expressive tones made famous by players like Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. In addition, The Wah's potentiometer was designed for the ultimate dynamic sweep response. What's more, a Harmony control is added so you can custom tailor the wah to your personal taste. All components are hand-wired for the ultimate in vintage authenticity.

As with all BBE guitar pedals, the Wah features an on/off LED status indicator plus True Hard-Wire Bypass for a clean signal path when the effect is bypassed.

BBE The Wah Guitar Effects Pedal Features:

  • Custom-Tuned Halo inductor
  • Harmony control shapes "Q"
  • Hand-Wired components
  • Easy Access battery compartment
  • True Hard-Wire Bypass
  • On/Off LED status indicator

This is a solid wah. My first one to actually, well i picked it up at a local music store and it sounds great, my buddy bought an original crybaby and that made me want a wah soo bad. so i picked up this unit. wow i love it, it has alot bigger of a sweep, i notice a little bit of sound loss in the lower eq but thats commen in all wahs so dont even worry about it, i love the harmony knob, i crank it down for clean wah so its not so edgy but when i put on the drive i crank it up and get such an awesome tone soloing with it all i can say is thanks to the BBE people making this wah they did a great job

Best Wah I've Used

I picked one of these up based on the quality of other BBE products. This wah is very vocal-like and natural, and it sounds good on every spot of the sweep. The dial on the side subtly affects the sound, making the wah more pronounced as you turn it up. The true bypass is a great feature as well. It may not work well with excessive gain, so metal players may need to look elsewhere. Everyone else, check this one out.

First off the pedal looks great, has a vintage sound and I love that it has a LED indicator on top, although a little hard to see with my big foot on the pedal. The other feature is the true bypass. And although it does have true bypass I notice a similiar tone loss as other wahs like non true bypass wahs like the Vox 847A and Crybaby's. In my opinion I seem to hear loss in true bypass pedals that are used to modulate the volume or sound, like the BBE Soul Vibe. The other issue is that the AC input is deeper than most pedals, which can be hard if your daisy chaining. The pedal movement is also a little stiff for my taste as it feels like its grinding a bit compared to other wahs. I wish it also had a volume knob, as I hear a little volume loss in the lower Q settings. Overall it sounds great and seems very well built and has some great reviews in Guitar Mags. But I think that there is still room for improvement here. Still a great value over the spiky Vox's and Crybaby's of the world, maybe not as sweet sounding as the fasel inductor Crybaby's though.

This pedal is great. I love the tone. I just got it to replace my original Crybaby that I've used for 10 years. I've never been completly happy with the tone of the Crybaby. Too shrill for my taste and not enough sweep. I read the review in the latest Guitar Player about and this Wah("editor choice") and it peeked my interest. Right off the bat I noticed a huge difference in tone. I also love that it has a wider sweep than the Crybaby. It's very responsive, way more articulate than the Crybaby and has great vocal quality. As far as features go, it has everything I want...true bypass, bright blue LED indicator, and "Q" control. Quality construction, handwired boutique style build. Crybaby was a good starting point but the BBE Wah is perfect for me, just what I've been looking for. Only con is that the hole for the 9v adapter was too small to use my One-spot. I had to use the 9v battery adapter for my one spot. Great buy.

The true bypass wiring sold me,BBE is slowly making a strong name for there self. There is no added noise or lost signal from this wah, unlike you know who? You are able to dial any sound you heard before. The craftsmanship is awesome, get one and you'll be a believer!
